Dr. Bird really sparked an interest in what I expected to be boring material. He may be one of the harder professors, but you will learn a lot! He's a great guy and he makes bowties look cool!

Comment:

Whoever thinks Dr. Bird is a hard teacher is a moron. He is incredibly nice and the class was SO easy. All of the tests were on WebCT and were open book/notes. Only about five or six two page assignments due the entire semester; and if attendance is lacking, he has everyone get into groups and answer kindergarden questions about the media and you.

Bird is a pretty good guy, and a great professor. I really feel like I am learning in his class. Its pretty easy cause its mostly on line. Just go to class, take notes and youll get an A. Deffinatly recominded!!!!

He is one of the easiest teachers you can take. He gives you a lot of extra points that will boast your grade no matter what it is. You can do awful on his Web CT test and still get an A (I did). Some of the people who have made comments on here just do not understand his teaching style. I recomend him to everyone! Take Dr. Bird if you want an A!

He is so boring. All we do is go over these powerpoints in class and then he gives you cases like every other day for hw. It is such busy work. He also likes participation, if he asks a question and no one answers he will sit there until someone does. Avoid him, plus tests are hard and make no sense.

To be honest with you the class is boring at times but if you do the reading and understand it you'll get an A. Its not a class that you just show up to you have to participate, but if you participate then you'll get no less than a C. You have the IQ of a rock if you can't get at least a C.

Dr Bird is the greatest! I was dreading media law as I heard it was really hard, but he actually did a great job and the class was way more fun than I expected. He offers lots of extra credit if you show up to class. He's also a really nice guy if you talk to him -not to say that he's not nice if you don't talk to him but how else will you know?

Basically he is an ok teacher. Kinda boring but its almost funny how plain he is. He loves Baseball, Everybody Loves Raymend, and PBS. He will menchain one of those in each class. But you go to class and take down the power point notes, cram a lil before each test and youll get a decent grade.

Dr. Bird is an overall nice guy, he talks alot about BASEBALL which drives the girls crazy and if you talk in class you will be called out even for smiling, he's a stickler for grading and he's rather boring you must attend class because his powerpoint presentations are not on Wedct...I wouldn't take him again unless I absolutely had to.

I loved this class, it is very hands on, and you learn a lot! Bird teaches you everything to know, and if you take notes you will get 50s on the labs and ace the tests. a very genuine teacher
