Nice and funny guy, but also very challenging class. Do as many practice problems as you can and go to his office hours if you need any help. Definitely makes you work for your grade.

Dr. Cobb is a titan. He is challenging, but works with students outside of class to ensure success. More than that, Dr. Cobb is inspirational, he genuinely wants to push students. He's a must-take if you get the opportunity.

Dr. Cobb is great! He has a reputation for being challenging and I was really nervous to take him in my first ever econ class. Definitely do the practice tests and go to his office hours. Ask questions when needed. Only a few tests so do not be afraid to review with him! He's the reason I became an Econ minor!

Micro Economics is hard and boring. I am not the best at understanding econ as a whole. Professor Cobb really knows what he is talking about and is funny and relaxed!! His class consists of 3 tests and a final, but if you're will to work hard you should pass easily with an A or B. If you try and show that you care, he will help you tremendously.

Cobb is a funny guy who really knows economics. He has been teaching for quite a long time really knows his stuff. His three tests and nothing else is what really kills you. If you do not do well on one of his tests good luck getting a good grade. If you really want to learn econ and want a challenge take Cobb.

The class is made up of 3 tests. That is all that goes into the grade so you have to do well. Very tough class and tests feel long when you take them. Study every night if you want to do well. KNOW GRAPHS BY HEART!

I am a criminal justice major that decided to pick up a business minor so my experience with anything related to economics was minimal. The class was probably the hardest class I have ever taken, but I got an A in the class. You really have to work for it, but he gives you the tools necessary for success. Use his practice exams and YouTube problems

I would just warn people to only take him if you are interested in Econ. His tests are killer. If your looking to breeze through this course, he is not the professor. Very challenging. You will have to do majority of the work on your own to pass. He's good as a professor though!

Micro Econ is not for everyone. Cobb can be a tough grader because there are only 3 tests the entire semester but he wants you to do well. Dr. Cobb really enjoys the class and wants to involve students and see them grasp material, it can just be tough sometimes. Would recommend but it will be a lot of work.

He is a great teacher but his class can be tough. There are only 3 tests the whole semester that make up your final grade and he gives no +- grades so it is very difficult to get an A. If you study a lot for the tests you should come out with a B, and if you really grasp the material, you'll get an A.

Dr. Cobb is an awesome professor. His lectures can be long and tedious but he is very knowledgable and truly wants you to understand the material. Your grade is based on only 3 tests, but if you study all the material you will get a good grade.

Dr. Cobb is a legend. Your grade is determined by three tests and that's it. However, if you actually study, you'll do fine. You will know the material better than any other Econ students and if you're struggling just go to his office hours, he's incredibly helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Cobb!

He means well. Micro is just hard to understand until you understand it. He was really particular on the tests about the wording you used, but usually didn't take points off for minor errors. Very helpful if you visit his office hours and likes you more if you go to his office. Won't learn your name if you don't go to office hours.

Cobb is a great teacher. I was better at math in 5th grade than I am now and I still got a solid A-. All you need to do to succeed here is take good notes & pay close attention to his lectures, ALWAYS do the practice tests, and go to office hours if you have questions. It's challenging but very manageable if you bother to put in the effort.

Cobb can be pretty difficult but as long as you care and put in some effort then you shouldn't get anything less than a B. If you do the practice exams and turn them in two weeks or so before the tests then you should be fine. Also, go to office hours and you'll be good. The key to a good grade are the practice exams and office hours.

Professor Cobb can be pretty difficult but don't worry if you already signed up for him. Unless you really don't care then you shouldn't get anything much lower than a B. If you read the chapter before class and do the practice exams then you can get an A. Practice exams are key to a good grade, turn them in two weeks before the test.

If you even have to look on this site for info about Cobb, you clearly are not an economics major. He's somewhat of a legend in the econ department for being wicked (seriously) hard but also a great teacher. If you do not have interest in economics, avoid him just because he is so hard, but he is a great guy and you will learn so much.

One of the best profs I've had at Xavier. Material is very dense but does an excellent job of explaining it and is very helpful. Show up to class, pay attention, do the practice exams and you will probably get a B. Work hard for an A. No plus or minus grading. Wonderful guy
