He's not hard. he is an easy A. if you participate. My rating on lvl of difficulty is based on the fact that he makes you earn the grade. He makes you improve your basic knowledge of poetry and writing in general. GREAT professor. he pretty much defines what a writer is. great sense of humor.

I learned how to create titles but nothing he taught was knew to me. He seemed more into other things and I got the feeling he played favorites. Maybe he just knew these other students beforehand, who knows? It is an easy class, like others have posted. I wanted to learn more about writing though since it is my major.

Wow. What a difference a semester makes. I didn't even do a lot of assignments and still got an A. How can that be possible? I've actually learned more from the English majors. He would just talk off topic for almost the whole class period and reserve just a half hour for lecture. If he's going to keep the class for 3 hours, I want to learn.

This professor is awesome! All you need to do is 5 poems and 2 cover song presentations. There's no midterm and no final. Also, buying a textbook isn't required, but you need to pay for transparencies and bring yummy food for the end of semester party! He's funny! Easy A. TAKE HIM! :D

He will give you honest criticism (but remember that sometimes it's just his opinion). One of the best teachers I've had at UH. He values learning and knowledge over screwing students with busywork.

Creative writing. You can say anything in this class, but you gotta be able to take it too. He restricts nothing but you can not be stuipid about what you say. he is fair, fun and actually a really nice guy. He enjoys what he does and has a great senes of humor. He loves the guitar and reads alot. Class was more workshop type and he is very helpful

Don't even hesitate. You WANT this teacher. Trust me. The kind of English teacher you've always wanted. You can speak freely and not be constricted to almost anything. Our discussions in class ranged from bestiality, making pipe-bombs, and throwing candy at a guy for 10 minutes. Of course, it's ALL English related. :D

Whatever that person who wrote a review on 4/13/08 was exactly what I wanted to write. He's a cool & laid back dude. Intimidated me at first. Funny guy and LOVES the movie Avatar (in 3D of course). Make sure you watch that movie before coming to class..lol. . I now feel confident that I can write poetry!

Prof. Goldsberry was a great teacher for the mandatory class, ENG100. No books at all, the only catch is to read everything he hands out and to spend good money on food for the end-of-semester party. You don't just learn English but you learn how to become an autodidact. That's right an autodidact ;)

Wow. I think his was the only class I've ever looked forward to attending. Every day was so enjoyable. He's hilarious, and he encourages all of his students to express themselves. He will form personal relationships with everyone. I felt extremely comfortable in his class. I don't care what he's teaching. Take it, then love the A.
