Her quizzes are very easy (ridiculously), she is not a picky grader at all, and most of your homework is reading and videos (which is tedious but that's the worst of it). I've had no issues with her and I thought she was pleasant to deal with. She's very fair, too! Highly recommend.

Dr. Cavalier was by far one of the best teachers I've had at CCAC. She always comes in ready to start class with a positive attitude. The only homework you get is reading so that you can discuss in the next class time. Be sure to take notes and ask questions. Tests are straight forward.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Dr. Cavalier included additional information and videos to supplement the information in the textbook. If you read the assigned chapters the tests are very easy. Dr. Cavalier's enthusiasm for history comes through in her communication. I would take a class with her again without hesitation.

Dr. Cavalier is by far one of the greatest professors I have ever had the honor of being educated by. She is caring, incredibly intelligent, answers questions so that you can understand them, & inspires you to do well. She is amazing & I am making sure I have her again next semester for whatever I can get her for, based on my degree requirements.

I really enjoyed Dr. Cavalier's online class. I found it easy to keep up with and she emails her class at the beginning of every week to inform them what is due every week. Very well organized with good feedback. She always responded to my emails quickly as well. One of the best online classes I have taken!

Wow, talk about trick questions. Easily the worst class I have ever taken. Don't think you'll find answers or information for the weekly tests online. Info is inthe textbook. Even then, I would look up EVERY SINGLE ANSWER in the book and still be wrong. Options for answers are synonymous. Be sure to address her by "Dr" or she'll get nasty. TERRIBLE

Only provides links and page numbers and does not do any of the teaching herself. Rarely answers emails and when she does she seems disinterested and gives direction in a condescending manner. If you follow the directions and turn the work in on time you'll do fine but overall I had a very negative experience.

DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. The questions she uses are awful. There are multiple choice questions with synonymous answers where there is no way to know which she wants. Getting an A is impossible. You cannot guess correctly. She didn't grade any work until last day of finals. Didn't help with questions but lenient with grading of papers. 3/10. DON'T TAKE

If you are from the PIttsburgh area and want to learn about the history, this is the perfect class. Great Professor, easy to work with if you have a problem. Perfect work load for working in the summer time. If you have the chance, take this class

Finishing up an online course with her. I would not recommend her online courses. She has no business being an online professor. She does not reply to emails, no matter the importance, and takes more than a month to grade assignments. Really didn't "teach" us anything, we taught ourselves with the book and posted links. Got nothing out of it.

Really an amazing teacher! She makes the topics really interesting and I learned a lot even though history isnt my favorite topic. Take notes and pay attention and you will be fine. Most quizzes are online and gives you 2 attempts. Wish i could take her again!

I took her WCIV 102 class this past semester. The lectures were engaging and interesting and I always looked forward to them! Her homework wasn't easy, but it wasn't difficult either and she spread out the assignments so it was really manageable. I definitely would take her again!

Currently finishing up an online class with her. Most of the class is a large amount of reading and difficult tests. I've tried to email her on multiple occasions with no response, so if you struggle with the large amount of content on each test, you're on your own.

Tests are extremely difficult, you have 2 hrs but sometimes the material on the test isn't even from the book so you have to research it online & hope you can figure it out. Also, sometimes 2 or 3 answers are so similar that it can be difficult to pick the right one. Also, if you have ANY trouble with blackboard she won't help you at all.

Prepare yourself for a massive amount of reading and waiting forever for her to grade assignments. Some of the questions on the tests have confusing language. I thought this class was boring and had way too much work. I often fell asleep reading the material.

One of the best teachers in the world! Very helpful and she gives amazing lectures. Her tests were quite easy, as were her essays, but they used material from both the book and the lecture, so don't miss a class! She used a few videos in her class, but most of her lectures were just speaking and class participation. Participate as much as you can!
