1 of my favorite profs! If he taught english I'd take it & I HATE ENGLISH! He was my lab instructor for 1510 & when I seen he was teaching 2801 I jumped at the chance to take it! Great PROF, hard COURSE! GO TO CLASS, do all assignments, labs & study. I got in 82 & I had 40 on 3 lab quizzes. He doesn't make up assignments. Also go to the help centre

This man is inconsiderate of his students. He is not clear when giving notes. I suggest him as a last resort prof. Assignments and rediculouly time consuming. But the final was fair.

Good prof but should make some material more clear for students. However very helpful. The course was extremely time consuming with a lab every week (3 hour prelab too)and the assignments.

He is a really nice and pretty funny guy. I have to agree that the notes could be a little better/more clear, he sort of assumes that you already know things a little bit and doesn't go into enough detail. I did find that they mark you pretty fair in this course though (probably because it's so hard!)

very helpfull prof and tries as much as possible to help you get through it. he realizes that the course is extremely hard and involves too much work so he takes that into consideration when grading. the course is brutal so he is best of all.

I hear he is better than prof Gupta. But Johnstone is horrible at teaching this subject and giving notes, you will be confused.. trust me! Hard material to learn but if you have to do it, I think this prof is the better one out of those available. Have a coffee!

Steve is a great guy. Totally fair and understanding but the course is terrible- assignments bi-weekly and they takes hours! But this doesn't reflect on Steve, he's just doin' what they tell him. good luck on a raise buddy - you seem to mention how you deserve one every second class lol btw, week lab quizes are bad.. really bad

Easy to understand, helpful with assignments. The course however is unbelievably brutal and takes up the workload of at least 3 courses, do an Arts degree or something.
