he's nice and funny at times but if you dont read as well as listen to his lectures its hard to pass because he doesnt cover the topics that successfully in class, he doesnt put up powerpoints he just projects a few things on the board and you have to follow without much visual aid, its annoying

I have to admit his lectures are entertaining, he makes jokes and interacts with students. He can be a little too much sometimes though. Escpecially since his lectures do not have any structure, and are useless for his exams. At least he says exactly the pages to study from the book you just have to learn them by yourself. Will not take again

Professor Laing is a fantastic professor! He always gives great feedback and his lectures are entertaining. It's a very interactive course and can push you out of your comfort zone, which personally helped me grow and develop skills that apply directly to the business world. I highly recommend this professor.

he's knows his stuff, but he doesn't teach the class, just talks about himself, and his personal experiences. his gives the the topic's for the quizzes and midterm, not that it matters because his test are impossible, will ask you questions that have nothing to do with the topic. doesn't prepare you at all for the final. avoid at all possible!!!!!

Very knowledgable but he is a tough grader (and doesn't explain his corrections), get ready to memorize the book, no point on going to class since he talk about himself, he only cares about his opinion, doesn't prepare you for the final AT ALL! avoid him if you want to keep a good average!!!!

Stephen is a nice person. The positive of this class is that you get actually constructive feedback on the oral presentations. The negative being the lectures heavily relying on personal stories, while avoiding talking about the material itself, which is dense. It leaves you in a sketchy situation for the final, therefore I would not recommend.

No doubt, Prof Laing is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. That said, he does not follow the PowerPoint slides, but rather teaches by anecdotes and picking on people. Interesting but does not properly prepare you for exams. Also, extremely hard marker!

He's an extremely tough grader to where its not even fair, he doesn't go over the material at all only takes about himself, makes the midterm and quizzes himself, they are all extremely hard and with a tough grader don't even think about getting over a 70, class average is always under 60.

This teacher is not for everyone. A lot of people mentioned that he does not stick to the book. If he did, the class would be extremely boring due to the amount of information in the book. Personally, I attended his class religiously because it was extremely entertaining, provided real life anecdotes and had guest speakers as well.

He's a very entertaining guy and he's always willing to help you. However he tends to stray away from the material. He gives the questions for the quizzes. If you want to get a decent grade in the class be prepared to put the effort in, class requires lots of reading and memorizing. He can be a VERY tough grader.

Would not recommend this teacher at all. Had to retake class. Very hard to do well on the group project because he is a very hard grader. Does not want to bothered outside class. Very rude in his office hours. The lectures are long. He talks about himself a lot.

He gives two 5% quizzes, 25% midterm, 20% group project, 41% final and 4 credits for surveys. For quizzes & midterm he gives the questions the week before, but good luck remembering all 9 of them with your 1-2 pages long answers. classes are long and he will ask you questions of out nowhere so get ready to answer him when he calls you out.

He's an entertaining and interesting guy but not the greatest professor. His class is roughly 80% personal stories and 20% course material. He gives you the questions for the midterm and the two quizzes. If you want a good grade you have to rely on memorizing the textbook

If your grades matter to you, avoid at all cost! He is an extremely tough marker, to the point of not being fair. Super unclear about what he wants and contradicts the course outline and himself at every turn. Impossible to reach for questions or explanations. Not teacher/prof material!

Impossible to get better than an A- in his class. He doesn't believe in giving A's because your answer's will never be enough for him. If you're comfortable with a B as your grade, then go for it, but don't expect more than that.
