Comment:

Coach Navarro is a great teacher & motivator for health. I took him for Cycling 1 for a previous semester. He's an easy grader as long as you put in the work/workout. He's a lot more flexible & less reading in an actual workout class. He gives a moderate amount of work to do online for personal fitness so be ready. Overall easy and very manageable!

What a horrible online class. The online class was so crudely set up with absolutely no attention to spelling or grammar. Due dates and assignment prompts were not clear. I don't know how the guy teaches in person but I don't recommend you take his classes online.

This class consisted of taping which counted as participation points as well. So you have to go to class to learn. So much extra credit offered, made it easy to get an A. Navarro is disorganized but when messes up gives extra time to do work. Do all the work, show up and you will pass. Not too difficult if you try. Got an A

I would highly recommend this class to get your kinesiology credit. Mr Navarro is a good teacher and this class is enjoyable. As long as you show up for this class you will get a good grade.

This class was 3 units but the amount of work he assigns made it feel like a 6 unit class. Has some bizarre reason for taking down assignments earlier than the due date, and known nothing about computers. I asked him to verify my grade a few times, he gave me the support number for the online system. So glad to be done with him.

I mean this class in general was straight forward but he is confusing on exactly what he wants. I was frustrated a lot. There were multiple times through the semester students were asking if we had to do certain assignments or if they were optional. Gives a lot of projects. Tests are easy. The online assignments are easy but long. Will answer Q's.

Professor Navarro expects that you take responsibility for your learning. He expects that you do the reading and take the time to study. However, he also gives ample opportunity to make up assignments and complete extra credit. Every student can succeed in his class.

Navarro is awesome! Do your work, focus in class, ask questions, READ the material and study and you will get an A. You receive the grade you deserve in his class. Super funny, cool guy. Get to know him. Go to office hours for help. Lots of chances for extra credit. He is very experienced and knows what he is talking about!

not a great instructor for kin17. very scattered, grades all over the place, doesnt know computers though its a hybrid class, never follows the syllabus, gets though half his lectures and talks mostly about family, jokes about students, takes down access to before assign.s are due, & posts last minute assign.s & blames students for in-completion.

I took him for online PE. Easy A. There's about 2-3 easy assignments and activity log due every month. He gives extra credit but you really don't need it if you do all the assignments. He also extends the deadlines and lets you turn in stuff late for full points if you ask.

Navarro is a great teacher. He is a little confusing at first, but I learned everything from the book and the powerpoints. He gives a lot of personal lessons, and really cares about how you do in the class. He gives extra credit, and is not a hard grader.

he is the cross country coach also at the school and he is very smart. he likes to get get straight to the point he is always on the move. he is very respectful of everyone's abilities and encourages everyone to do their best. Had to do a behavior change project which took effort, i thought it was going to be easy but it was worth it. positive :)

My major is PE & out of all the PE classes, this is the most informative.Some ppl have a hard time understanding his lectures b/c he can go off on tangents but he knows his stuff. You may just have to ask him to clarify some things- but your at a community college, take advantage of beinging able to talk to your teachers cuz UC's arn't as personal!

Nice guy, but a totally incompetent teacher. if u like the sport u take with him,and give a good effort u will get an easy A, i had him for badminton and rock climbing. both are awesome class and if u show up and put in an effort u will get an "A". but as for is "teaching" skills is is an totally incompetent,be prepared to teach yourself

my absolute favorite class ever!! he is my favorite teach at las po! i mean i only had him for PE but i loved his class!! he always was fun to listen to while swimming. he is such a nice man, completely understanding about everything. so compassionate about his job! i really enjoyed him. even taking him over the summer!
