Professor Post is a brilliant math teacher. I do not consider myself to be necessarily strong in math, however I am doing very well in this class. I feel that the content is explained very clearly. He is easily accessible for questions/help and has a hilarious sense of humor, which I feel some people mistake for rudeness.

Steven belittles his students and is by far one of the most non-empathetic person I have ever met. If you are not a genius he will not like you or treat you right, simple as that. Even if you put in all the effort and homework, you could mess up a wording and he will make you feel like the dumbest person on the planet, even when you so aren't.

I had him for problem solving. I always get A's in math easily but this was the hardest math course I've ever taken. Attendance is mandatory to pass the class. Lots of quizzes and very hard tests. Doesn't explain material well and not willing to help if you are struggling. I was one of very few to pass his class.

This class is intended to be as difficult as possible for non math students. The textbook is a useless expense and poorly written. Like many small colleges the required math classes ( 3 not just one ) are a cash cow for the school and designed to be repeated ( for non-math majors). The material is a moving target.

He is the worst professor I have ever had. When I went to my advisor with specific concerns about the class, she specifically asked if he was my professor. If you don't get a problem correct, he makes you feel stupid. He doesn't believe in partial credit. He is a horrible lecturer - HAS to sound smart. He is very intimidating and rude one-on-one.

This professor was very helpful if you were not understanding the material. I was able to get help from him during his office hours and I was so glad that I did. The class over all was okay. I did well in the class. All you really have to do is pay attention during class, take notes, and learn how to do the problems he gives you.

Steven is very willing to work with students in and outside of the classroom on problem sets. He is very helpful and clear when explaining concepts, and willing to reword things and patiently explain in new ways when misunderstood. I really appreciate the opportunity to revise homework sets he gives to everyone if they don't like their grade.

I would not recommend this class. It was difficult to learn statistics material because it was all based off of excel. When you have to explain your answer, if you don't say it in his exact words it will most likely be wrong. You must be willing to see him during office hours and be willing to memorize his way.

As long as you keep up with the material and hand in your homework on time you'll be fine. There is homework every week, 2 exams throughout the semester, and a cumulative final.

Teaches Calc exactly as it should be. HW was fair, occasionally time consuming. Likes bonus problems he offers cash rewards for. None of the quizzes or midterms were hard or surprising. The final was far and away the hardest part. Really enjoys applied story problems, some strange ones popped up on the final. Study and ask for help if need be.

This class is based entirely off a math teaching theory from the early 90s. Steven often quotes directly from the teacher book of the text. If you aren't math people, prepare to be very frustrated.

Post was an awful professor. The tests were difficult to pass even if you study for 20+ hours. My suggestion is to take statistics 121 with a different professor.

Post is a very difficult teacher. I would say I'm pretty good at Math and took Calc in high school, but had to drop the class because I couldn't pass any of the tests. They were incredibly difficult and rarely covered the stuff that was assigned as homework. I would suggest waiting until you can take the class you need with another Edgewood prof

He makes you work, but if you have any trouble he will be more than happy to explain it and in as many different ways as it takes until you fully grasp the concept. On his sabbatical, he came to campus once a week to help me with a different course I was taking because he wanted to aid in my success. Best Mentor I have ever had. :)

TERRIBLE is the only word students can describe him!! Pose never thnk we r smart enough 2 understand frm his 1st explanation, so he explain every qustn a million times. The worst part is that he explains questions in a million way, students always confuse of which method they SHOULD or SHOULD NOT use! PLEASE DO CONSIDER BEFORE TAKING HIS CLASS!!

If you want to feel stupid everyday, then take this class. By far one of the worst professors I've had. Math 101 is a difficult class with anyone, but do what you can to not take it with Steven. He is not very helpful either in or out of class. When you do have a question, he makes sure to tell you how wrong you are. Its quite fantastic. not.
