Didn't have many grades. Had 1 homework assignment at the beginning of the semester and then the rest of the grades were 4 exams. He makes the class interesting by connecting it to different disciplines, like forensic biology, but he expects you to know what he is saying while giving little explanation. Not hard, but he's not always clear

Comment:
Steve is passionate about his work, but he often came off arrogant and mocked students for saying the wrong answer. Going to his office hours helps a bit, but his help isn't always clear. Do the homework problems from the syllabus and ask questions when you can. You definitely have to work for this one, just don't mind his occasional rude comments.

The tests are challenging but if you do the recommended homework problems you should be fine. He says he is open to questions but makes students feel stupid with his answers. He likes to tell students "No, that was a statement not a question." His ego bothered me the whole semester.

I strongly recommend this teacher for regular-semester calculus. Teacher is very open to feedback and, honestly, your entire grade in his class is entirely on you. Sure the exams can be a real pain but fortunately you are given as many optional assignments as you can feasibly do to buffer your grade. Just make sure not to wait until the last minute

Absolutely awful professor. Had no desire to help you, and if you went to his office hours he would just ask you more questions. At the beginning of the course he told us he did not even know what he was supposed to cover!

Not a very good professor. It was a summer course and he seemed like he never wanted to be there. Wasnt very open to questions. Also, didnt seem like he knew the material very well. You can pass the course with a decent grade but it does take some work.

Steve is a very intelligent man and really tries to pass on his love of Calc to his students, however in doing so it seems that the class learns more about the history of calc rather than its practice. However, if you really try and you do the work you will pass. Also if you ask for help he'll give it to you, but he'll make you work for it.

I really liked him. I don't do very well in Math and i might not have gotten the grade i wanted in his class he definitely made my semester fun and actually pretty interesting. He loved helping students. He likes to integrate real life things into the class, and it just made calculus seem so much more important in life. It made you want to learn

Steve was one of my favorite professors. His teaching approach is different, which can set off students who are used to a certain way of learning. He care about his students and is willing to help them, but at times he can be elitist. He is concerned with the broader concepts of math and not repitition of the basics. Good sense of humor as well.

Seubert is very degrading and mean. Unless you are one of his "favorites" you might as well get used to mean comments. He is somewhat helpful during office hours, but he is rude and ****. Tests were extremely hard and we did a pointless project that basically consumed my life and the life of my group members. Do not take this class with him!

When my advisor suggested that I take honors calculus, I was like, "Sure, I got a 35 on the math section of the ACT, and I've always been good at math. Why not?" BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! He's funny, but MEAN! Doesn't help at all, never gets to the point, and all the problems are ubercomplicated.

I'm not doing too great in this class, and to me he isn't very helpful like the other rating on here said. In fact, he told me to withdraw from the class, and it's my last math class, and I don't even go to school here.
