Steven is a really good professor and he's funny and nice. He actually brought us snacks before our midterm and even vegan-friendly options LOL. Everyone says he is a super tough marker but I have yet to receive any grades back from him yet so we will see.

Steven is an exceptional teacher but he is a very tough grader. Attending his lectures is mandatory if you want to pass the course. He has a lot of field experience and is very knowledgeable. He's extremely funny and uses vulgarity sometimes (to me is a good thing because he doesn't hold back).

He's a funny guy but his lectures are hella boring, especially if you have him right at 8 in the morning. Really pay attention to what he says and participate in class if you wanna do well. He's a tough marker and achieving a 90 seems unattainable. But, oh well. Try to avoid him if you can though lol.

Steven is very nice and friendly. He marks VERY hard though. His lectures are kinda boring as well and it doesnt seem like he likes teaching first years very much.

Steven is a very caring person who expresses a clear passion for social work, but his lecture style is dry and he is a VERY tough grader, he will nit pick every word! There were pop quiz's in 132, so attendance was mandatory.

While Steven is a funny, inspirational and caring professor, his grading does not match the personality he brings forward in the classroom. He is a really tough grader and I found the lectures lacked any real depth. I'm still wondering what I was supposed to learn in this class.

My least favourite class of the semester. His lectures are unclear and hard to follow. Marks way too hard. He seems like a nice enough person, but I found him to be a terrible professor.

Steven was such a sweet guy and he was so entertaining, which made the class enjoyable considering all the material was not the most interesting stuff around. You're going to have to print a lot of readings though, and they can be kind of long and dense, so make time to read those because otherwise you won't be able to follow lecture at all.

Such a great prof!!! Material was dry but you cant really do anything about that. He made class really enjoyable and he's very funny! Enjoyed the class a lot, take it if you can :)

Steven tries his best to make the material interesting and adds personal stories which helps a lot. He is receptive when asked for help. No textbook but you will have to print off a bunch of readings every week and you'll have to read them. He's a pretty hard marker.

Steven is very nice and friendly. However, the lectures are very long, and they only go over the readings. Readings are very long and boring. There was no textbook, we had to print off 1-5 articles per week. Hard marker.

Steven is an incredible person. He tries to make class interesting for his students, which I appreciate since the course material is extremely dry. He is understanding, if you have any issues he will try his best to help you. He's hilarious and was definitely my favourite prof last semester. P.S. He's a hard marker so DO NOT SLACK!! Work hard!:)

Funny engaging and genuine. Somewhat tough marker but not the worst. You may not do as well as you expect. Otherwise a really great guy who is clear and organized. 3 pop quizzes (they usually take place in the last week of every month :)) and the articles are super long. May or may not have a textbook.

He is excellent! Engaged, approachable, passionate, funny and interesting. He is a hard marker because I was used to getting As that I didn't deserve. Once I showed an interest and actually submitted A level work, I got As. Work hard and it will pay off.
