Not sure if he is still teaching but he is the BEST Anatomy professor you could ever have. He is funny, (bark bigger than bite) has great stories, and he makes learning so easy and interesting...IF U study and learn the material. Otherwise, you are in deep, deep trouble...it will be your fault...he teaches you all that you need to know and more!

Mr. Mellichanp is a great teacher, and can be pretty hilarious when he begins to rant about various topics. I took his 210 class, and I am currently in his 211 class, and I have nothing bad to say about either. Lab is easy, and if you study, Lecture can be too. Don't miss class or text while he's teaching and you will have no problems.

GREAT teacher. I would recommend him in a second to any age or any one that wants to know bio and be able to remember it. He handles his class better than any instructor i have ever had. I will take his 211 for sure. This class is not easy but his reviews make it hard not to pass.

Lecture tests are difficult, but he literally tells you what to highlight in your book, gives you a study guide, and that's what he tests on. If you are lazy, you won't do well. Lab is a breeze. He repeats it until you know it! He's very funny & personable. Don't be rude or disrespectful and you'll be fine. I highly recommend him. Stewie rocks!

An excellent teacher. He is not rude. He expects people to be quiet and not text when he is talking. I don't think that is too much to ask for. His lecture tests were not easy. Pay attention to him, read and study.

I had Mr.Mellichamp for 210, and sent him an email asking what section he was doing 211. He is an EXCELLENT teacher. His Lecture tests are extremely hard, but if you keep up with Lab (and it is very easy to do so), you will pass this class with at least a high B. He is very knowledgeable, and gives you everything you need to know to excell!!

He cares about the students who care about what he's teaching. I didn't take his occasional mood swings to heart b/c I truly feel he saw how hard I was working in his class and he graded me accordingly. Got an A in summer semester. Wish I could have taken his 211 b/c he's much better than who I had to end up taking b/c of my job situation.

All of his good reviews can be misleading. He is a good teacher - very hard but good. I feel students should be aware that he is not always the nicest person to be around and can be very mean and hateful to students often creating an uncomfortable classroom enviroment.

I had him for 210 as well. He is THE best teacher. He's very concise and he absolutely teaches you what you need to know. He's hard but fair. Pay attention. Do well in lab. I wish he taught more BIO classes. Go out of your way to take him. He really is the best.

I LOVED Mr. Mellichamp! He was one of the best professors I have had in a long time. It is hard for me to comprehend biology but he taught in such a way that it was easy to learn and understand. GREAT TEACHER!! MUST study to pass, it's alot of information to learn :))

He is very interesting. Never a dull moment. If you study his notes and pay attention in class you should do just fine. I do want to metion that his labs are spot on. He really wants you to learn and understand. He is great about reviewing in lab. I just wish I would have taken his class for 210. He is teaching for the right reasons. :)

Definitely an odd personality - but he really knows/lives & breathes the material! Does great reviews for both lecture & lab. Very little tolerance for BS in class - nice to finally have a teacher who knows how to handle the 20-somethings! He's tough - but you will be well-prepared for BIO 211.

Best teacher ever, but you have to learn and know the material. He told us once he was getting older, and if we were to be his nurses later in life he would make sure we knew what we were doing. He did just that, but he was so great at teaching I took both his 210 and 211 classes. I wish he taught Microbiology.

Had him for 210 and 211. He is different with an odd way of teaching, but it works. you will know what you need to know if you pay attention, take notes and go to class. He makes it where you will remember without knowing that you will remember. I had fun in both classes. I recommend him highly.
