Comment:

If you have a problem go to meet him in his office he will go out of his way to help you understand. This course has a lot of work involved and its hard to keep up but its not impossible. He is a nice person.

Let's just say I paid $1000+ to teach myself out of the textbook. If you're expecting a "lecture" when you go to his classes, think again. His classes consist only of solving problems, similar to a tutorial. If you're interested in learning fundamental concepts, the textbook will become your new best friend. Avoid at all costs.

The professor is very hard to understand and honestly the class seems like a waste of time to sit through. However, the problems he goes over in class are very essential and sometimes arise in his tests. Make sure you write all the tests and not omit a single one (his tests are not hard) because the exam will be a killer.

This guy is a joke. He comes to class unprepared and we spend the entire lecture going over problems which he can't even DO! His tests are pretty hard and his drop out rate, I imagine is really high. Do not take physics with this prof, you don't learn anything at all. He's a tool.

I usually give professors the benefit of the doubt, but Prof. Joshi wasn't born to teach. Can be very kind when you speak with him personally, but his lectures are confusing and his disorganization drove me to despair at times. He seems to realize his own inability to teach so makes the quizzes really easy, but then-WHAM!!!-the final kills you.

This professor is horrible. He never reply students's email and make a lot of mistakes during the lecture. Also, he is not organize and won't provide any course outline to students. Moreover, he has heavy accent in his english and as i discussed with other classmate, no one seem understand what he is talking about in the class.

Mind-numbingly boring. If you remember Gr. 12 physics, you'll kick this course's ass - no thanks to the prof. You're best off staying home and studying from the textbook 'cause all he does in class is mumble and do sample problems. He is helpful though - in his office, not the lecture hall, so you can hear him.

It was funny when he yelled at the kid "Don't you understand English?!" That class is so dull and empty most of the time. It's like being in a museum. Good luck understanding a word he says. Oh yeah, bring a pillow.

His tests are quite easy if you study for them. Some problems are directly from the hw and always has some problems from previous tests be sure to get a copy b/c he never changes the problems. It is quite unclear when he speaks and cannot do his algebra correctly but he is very helpful with the work

Worst Professor I've had in my five years at York. He is a disgrace. His accent is so thick you can't understand a word he says, and hiss writting is so bad you can't read it. He is never prepared to class and jumps around too much. And he is always 10-15 min. late for class.

Can't understand a thing he says sometimes. Does tons of problems, all of which are his intention at helping you understand the topics. He's nice, helpful, and makes very very VERY easy tests. That is, problems copied from the textbook. If you did your homework, you will have an A.
