She's a really nice lady, but an awful lecturer. I came into this expecting an easy A but have not been doing well. If you already know physics, this will be a breeze. As someone with no prior knowledge, her lectures have not helped me understand the material.

Comment:

Dr. Kirtley was helpful if you ever wanted to ask a question about the lab. She has a very soft voice and is extremely sweet. Her labs she outlined the process in the beginning of the class and directly said what she expected in them. Great professor!

She is the nicest person ever, but she doesn't teach the material very well. It often feels as if she is just writing meaningless numbers on a board. She never really teaches the material. She just gives lots and lots of examples. I'm not gonna lie, it's and easy A, but if you want to learn then you will have to teach yourself.

Homework was assigned out of the book and not Mastering Physics. She waited a moment to let the problems sink in and give us a moment to think of possible questions. I found it hard to pay attention because the class was double and her voice is quieter. For our class she would talk through the middle bell and then let us go a few minutes early.

Dr. Kirtley is an okay professor. Her lectures were incredibly boring, especially since the class was a double period. When you ask questions, sometimes you'll get an answer you understand, but sometimes you won't, so don't expect too much. Also, she would forget to give of constants on our tests (like densities). She loves questions, through.

Dr. Kirtley is one of my favorite professors of all time. Not only does she teach well, but she is one of the nicest people that you will ever meet. You have to love the 'clean jokes' that each class opens with. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Kirtley is one of my all-time favorites. She really cares about the students and whether they are understanding the material or not. My only complaint is that she tends to forget about things, like when she said she'd have a quiz and she's slow in returning labs.

Kirtley is always willing to help out. She's a wonderful person and always smiling. She knows how to teach the material and makes it fun in the process. Very quiet and polite and definitely the best lab teacher I've had to date.

She was a really nice person, always smiling. She's super quiet, so sit in the front row if you want to hear anything. She tells horrible jokes that she finds humorous.. they're not. She's not an excellent teacher, but better than others. Take her class if you want an amusing hour that's not too hard. Best if you know a bit of physics before.

I Loved Dr. Kirtley. She's so much fun in class, tries to tell jokes that she doesn't remember...and is easily pushed over. It's great..but she's so sweet and adorable.
