I absolutely loved having Dr. Byrd. I'm not even a textiles concentration and I looked forward to her classes every week. She does require a lot of work, but you learn something from everything you do. It's not just "busy work". If you follow the directions she gives you in the syllabus, you'll make an A for sure. She is a wonderful professor.

I have had Dr. Byrd for several classes. She is wonderful if you apply yourself. If you don't take your work seriously you will have problems in her class. She is a wonderful teacher. She has made a difference in my life!!!! Wonderful women!!

Dr.Byrd is very helpful if you apply yourself and make an effort in her classes. Her classes require alot of work, but most of the work is beneficial. She knows alot about this field so she is interesting. If you attend class and do your work and look like you care about the class you will do fine in the class! She will help you out if you need it.

Dr. Byrd is such a nice woman, but her general studies class is BORING! most of the info we learn IS helpful, but its hard to pay attention. she also gives out WAY TO MUCH work for a GENS class.. you have to attend guest speakers, do hw, write reports,etc.. it was stupid especially when every other GENS class never even had class!! it made us mad!

Enjoyed her classes as a student, she was always very helpful, and I was always a good student, one of the "favorites." As an alumni, i've found that she's not as helpful to her former students and tosses you aside, just b/c you've graduated. After 2 months, I'm still waiting for that recommendation letter she promised she'd write me.

If she doesn't like you you'll know it in a heartbeat....she is very strict about attendance she will drop you a letter grade for poor attendance even if you can pull the grades...BUT you have no other choice for TCFM so make her like you...

She is very rude to some of her students. If she doesnt like you...you will definately know about it. Since she is the only one that teaches the fashion mechandising classes you have no other choices for teachers.

Be prepared to work when you sign up for her classes. You may have flashbacks to your days in elementary school, not because it's easy, but because you write constantly. Classes are useful though, you just have to put a lot of effort into them.
