Dr Goss is a very nice lady. She will bend over backwards to help you understand the material. She's extremely helpful in lab. Her exams are not awful, but they can be tricky. Too bad she's retiring, would have loved to take her for Immunology.

Very easy class and excellent professor. She gives you everything you need to get an A on her tests in her lecture notes and clicker quizzes. As long as you put forth minimal effort in this class there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get an A.

micro 3230 is a hard course, but Dr. Goss makes it very interesting...her class is easy, you do have to read to make good grade. The lab are very interesting. Her test are very straigth foward from the notes most of the time... attendance is require after every lecture there is clicker quiz...overall i thing she is an excellent prof.

If you think 3230 was bad, just try 4040. It's the hard version of Micro. (Immunology) I've had her for Micro as well, and I'm in Medical Micro now with her, and this class is tough! But she's very helpful and interesting, and worth going to class for. Study the notes like they're your life!

It is true that she is very hard. She expects you to know your stuff; we are in college and for most people taking this class, the material is relevant.Just go to class and study the material that she HANDS OUT, you will be fine. I also had her for 4040, which was a lot harder, and still did ok. Don't put off studying to the last minute!

Wow.. all the other stuff bout her being a great teacher is false!! yeah the woman knows her stuff but the tests are overly complicated three of four chapters or more on every test!! Loved the lab but you still have to study a ton for the test an it gets you nowhere good luck if you have to have this class!!

I was excited to take this class, but I ended up hating it. Lab is fun, however. But in lecture, she talks quickly, and the material involves a lot of mindless memorization. The tests aren't overly hard, but they do require studying (memorizing). Attendance is taken with daily quizzes. Nevertheless, she is a very nice lady.

Excellent teacher, funny, very smart. Enjoyable class. I would definitely take her again. Tests fairly difficult, but straight from lecture notes that you can print off computer (which is great). Extra credit questions on tests. Teaches own lab (fun). Didn't buy book. Do homework (helps grade a lot)
