She is very energetic and forces students to particulate in group work. That's really the one issue I had with her class. But, other than that she's amazing and really inspires her students to dive into the world of education.

Comment:

This class is awesome if you're fond of taking notes. The quizzes and tests are online, notes allowed, which is amazing. Also, the "mini projects" seem daunting but they're actually super fun and I enjoyed all three. I highly recommend taking this course over history of the English language, just based on my own experience.

Comment:

Dr. Sroda is a great lady, you can tell that she really cares about her class and her students. The class has outside readings and homework, but she provides answer guides for you to go over before you turn it in. All of her tests and quizzes were online and open book. As long as you attend class and put in the work, you will make a good grade.

This woman is my inspiration! It is embarrassing how much she loves language, but it makes learning so much more enjoyable. I never WANTED to skip class; I didn't want to miss anything entertaining or educational! She made me want to go to grad school and study linguistics. If only she could teach ALL of my classes. PLEASE take her for ANYTHING!

This class offered hands-on learning with freedom to self-explore; however, grading criteria was often a bit mysterious. Putting forth your best effort resulted in a high end-of-semester mark. Class was never dull but books were only used as references.

I loved Dr. Sroda! She helped me so much when there were things I wasn't understanding. Even when I went to her office feeling like an idiot about some of the things that I felt behind on, she was patient and walked me though things until I got it on my own. VERY HELPFUL!

Standard Usage- Very interesting class! The book is great. Takes attendence. Have to get in front of class, but only a few times. The homework is rare and pretty easy. The quizzes aren't bad either, just study your notes/look over book. It's all right there! She's energetic and loves her job and is VERY knowlegable-doesnt act like your avg PHD prof
