Take her in the summer! The entire class is self paced so the only due date was the last day of class. There are about 60 or so quizzes that are super easy and can be answered by going along chapter by chapter in the book. She is also very helpful if you get stuck on a question shell even answer within the day. Finished it all in almost 1 week.

I highly recommend taking it online if you're looking for a quick summer course. There are no due dates aside from the last day of the course, but if you wanted to get a jump start you could turn assignments in by her given date and she will leave extremely helpful comments and allow you to resubmit for higher credit! This class was amazing!

I loved this class! It was online and SELF PACED! There were only 2 due dates: one for the midterm, one for final and ALL of the HW. Once the exams were opened you had a week to take it whenever wanted. Exams were open book and untimed. The HW had unlimited attempts. TA always willing to help. There is no excuse if fail its all on you

The class isn't the issue, but rather Asirvatham herself. She treats her students like they're stupid and laughs when they don't understand everything she's teaching. Some girl in my class said she had to go to her advisor about how disrespectful she was towards her. Her class isn't difficult at all as long as you have the book, its just her.

Took this class over the summer online. The professor is great with responding to questions and gives terrific feedback but this class is rough. There is ALOT of reading and writing. 10 tests (allows multiple tries but they are tough), 7 discussion boards (requires reading and a decent amount of writing) and 4 papers.

I took it as an online summer class expecting to work, but the class was so time demanding that I had to take days off of work. She tries to hard to be wordy and makes questions confusing. Also very hard grader and is very strict on plagrism. I say do not take her online class it was very stressful. A lot of reading 12 tests and 4 essays and 7 diss

If you're looking for an online class to take over the summer, this one is perfect! I took the 3 week course, which is more than enough time to finish this class. There are 12 chapter quizzes (25 questions) and 4 writing assignments. The only due date is the last day of class. She gives an optional due date for feedback on the writing assignments.

I took her Latin 101 class and it was all online. There was a ton of quizzes, but unlimited attempts on each, mostly the info was taken straight from the textbook so if you read the book you were prepared. Her finals were simple and also had unlimited attempts, and her class was great she did power points to help you along. I recommend the class

Definitely knows her stuff when it comes to the subject she's teaching, responds quickly & gives great feedback on assignments. If you take her summer course, there is a lot of work involved. The 12 multiple choice quizzes (that you can take unlimited time) go by the book, but the discussions and journals are extensive and requires other readings.

I took this class this summer because it was a Gen Ed. and I wanted to gain more credits. My first online class and it was really straight forward not difficult at all. Basically went by the textbook. Dr. Asirvatham is a dope Professor and she responds back quickly if you have any questions or concerns. She is really cool and laid back. TAKE HER!!

She consistently makes people think that they should just know Latin when they come into a BEGINNING Latin class. She is very unclear, extremely sarcastic, always at least 10 minutes late. None of your questions are important, so don't even bother. Her power points have very funny pictures, but she doesn't even make the power points.

She doesn't seem to know how to lecture. She goes through a powerpoints and then decides that she doesn't want to teach that any more. She comes in late then gets mad at the class because we ran out of time.

If you don't want to get on her bad side)She tries really hard to make the class interesting and easy. She grades fairly, you should get an A!

Smokin' hot and super smart. Talk in class and your participation points will make up for what your work is lacking. She's pretty lenient and understanding and has posted office hours for help. Always e-mails back. I've taken her for a bunch of classes and enjoyed every one of them. Homework can be heavy, but that's college kids.

Had her for a selected topics in ancient history class and she was very good. Knows her stuff, friendly, and work load is very fair. Had her for a hybrid course and didn't think she was that bad with the e-mails actually. Seems to grade on effort and can't complain about that. Highly reccomend her.
