Nice guy, but his lectures don't help much at all. He won't clear up points of confusion and gives tricky pop quizzes with very little time to complete them. The exams are very tough, as hefinds trick problems with confusing geometry rather than testing you just on Statics. You'll need to spend a lot of time doing extra problems in order to do well

The professor is a nice guy but is not entirely in tune. Lectures are him rambling. Tests are unclear and harder than homeworks. Some material is very hard and you're on your own to learn it. Pop iclicker quizzes are often tricky and confusing. If you take this class do a lot of extra book problems beyond homework to prepare yourself for the tests

Has the best interest of his students in mind, however he often wont answer student questions just because he wants them to think for themselves. His exams were trickier questions than the homework and in class problems.

Very unclear. I'm not the only one in the class who thinks so as well. Half the time he says "it's in the book" and the other half is "you should already know this by now". I've had to go to the LRC session for every homework (after the first couple weeks) and the tutor even assumed I was from his class because he gets a lot of people from the prof

The class material is not very hard conceptually, it just requires lots of practice. He was often helpful but sometimes unclear on explaining key topics. He will give quizzes to keep you on your toes, but was never too devious on exams. The SIs are quite helpful for actually solving homework problems, use them to your advantage. good prof overall

Very nice professor, always helpful in class trying to clarify points that are misunderstood. Show up to class because he gives an occasional quiz

The professor tried his best to teach the class and had the best interest of students. Always pushed the class to go to office hours but at office hours he was not very helpful and just rushed the meetings. Over all nice guy though.
