I was excited to take the class and even to read the book a little but that all went out the window when on the second day of class we spent an hour talking about the legal definition of penetration. This class was a serious wast of time. Don't take it if you have any interest in political science. He's a funny guy but his class is useless.

You whiners. You don't appreciate a professor this awesome until you are long out of school like me. I still remember many things I learned in his class, both subject matter- and life-wise. He was one of the best teachers I had at OU, in all the classes I took with him.

I did not enjoy taking this class. He is a very wise person and is very entertaining. Unfortunetly I wanted to hear something in the class related to the content of the books, considering it is my major (International studies). I didnt learn anything in his class about the subject matter, but at least he did raise some interesting life questions.

I LoVED this class and the Prof. Dr. Kim is so funny and intelligent. As long as you do ALL the readings you will be fine! No matter what you do you can't get lower than a C- in this class. Sometimes though, he does BS a little too much.

I cannot describe this goofball. If your looking for a class on International Relations, looks elsewhere. He rarely talks about IR and more on his favorite stuff in Korea. Really no need to come to class just read the book. Only college teacher to have a seating chart. If you're his favorite student, you can basically run the class.

If you take him over the summer, you can't get less than a B. That is his policy. Rambler, but you always know that in the end...you are still doing alright.

There is no description I could put down in less than 350 characters that could describe my utter hatred for this man. He is very offensive and completely unstructed. The whole year I took about 7 pages of notes. His exams are based solely on the reading, and questions given cover about 2 sentences in a chapter containing 65 pages. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

This guy is the Hunter S Thompson of the Poli Sci program at OU. He's extremely funny and just loves to ramble on about a broad range of trivialities. Definitely for those who want a little entertainment in their poli sci.

Had him for International Relations. I was a POLS major, so I was def interested in the class BEFORE. He showed up late everyday, and did not spend one whole class period talking about IR. Spent way more time talking about the "New OU" than anything else. This class was worthless to anyone with any interest in the subject matter.

I took quite a few classes and an independent study with Prof Kim. He's an interesting professor to say the least. He tries to scare away non-serious students the first couple days so that those remaining in the class will participate. Sometimes it may seem like he'll never get to the required material but he has great stories and many life lessons that somehow all eventually tie back in to the material.

Yes,he rambles A LOT.The lack of focus/organization,except for discussions with his fave students, makes it difficult to tell what you should know.Tests are specific, over chapters we never discussed. I could write essays about his favoriite students, but I know little more about international relations than I did before this class.

Everyone loves Kim because he's so funny. But make sure you read on your own because he often times states class is not a place to discuss reading but "****" about other topics. His test are crazy but also involve a super curve.

This professor is not for the faint-hearted. BUT, if you do the reading, come to class with an open mind and positive attitude, you'll learn something AMAZING! It might not fit neatly into some syllabus-type rubric, but WOW it'll be life-changing. If you don't have patience or respect, don't take this class. If you like adventure--take it!

Dr. Kim is a very funny, kind man. Maybe TOO kind. If you impress him favorably, you are likely to get an A without even taking the final. He does tend to ramble, but his rambling can teach you more than some professors' lectures.

Prof. Kim is a legend among Professors. Who cares about his class not being structured? He teaches his students about what it really means to be a part of our global community. He is the kindest professor I have had and feel lucky to have been in his class. Definitly take his class! You will love it
