Thought I flunked after disagreement. She gave freedom to pick topic for speech. Decided not to pick school counselor like 99% of class. Got D for not "following directions". Upset cuz speech was GREAT even tho not topic she liked.(People read off papers & got B's!) She didnt chg grade, but somehow got A in class. Think she gave in after we talked.

This is easily the most boring class I have ever taken. The midterms are just a collection of random, useless questions. You can get an A in this class without learning a single thing.

She always asks rhetorical questions and when she asks real questions and no one answers she gets mad. Her exams are really easy, mostly just TF questions. Just read and pay attention to lecture and you'll do fine. Her lectures are super boring and her exam "reviews" are not helpful at all.

2 tests and 1 10 page paper. True she doesn't like to answer questions and doesn't give a whole lot of guideline to the 10 page paper. Class is extremely boring but material is simple and easy to memorize for the 2 tests. Easy A, just study and try not to fall asleep.

Organized and a steady lecturer. Professor Connell makes points very clear and has a class structured so well to give you a good grade. Although she does not collect homework or give any tests besides the final, you will learn a lot. Not sure about the below reviews but she is also a lawyer which gives a plus in her speaking skills.

Don't know what she is talking about, she was a biology teacher before, so she like talking about animals and waste our time talking and kidding something hard to be understood by an international student. Not useful, you have to learn by yourself.

Ms. Connell is an excellent and interesting lecturer. Her shortcomings are that she does not give enough opportunities to earn a good grade (only 2 tests and 1 paper). She does not give adequate reviews before tests and gets impatient when people ask too many questions about tests.
