Very poorly structured grading scheme, the exams were worth far to much in contrast with the design projects. Poor lecture setup as well, jumps from topic to topic without fully explaining. She's a very nice lady though, one of the nicest at Clarkson.

Definitely a software engineering professor rather than a comp sci. Makes you do a lot of useless, meaningless documentation for no reason. Her grading is unreasonably strict. You'll have to work very hard to get a good grade. Her expectations are just far too high and she's not very good at teaching. Not unbearable, but avoid if you can.

Horrible at explaining topics, read from PowerPoint every day. Incapable of forming air-tight sentences but insisted on writing her own homework problems. Should have just stuck to the text. Grading scheme was convoluted and inconsistent.

She is a very nice person, lectures are mostly interesting, provides powerpoint presentations. Can be late sometimes posting presentations for download. Exams were reasonable. Always willing to answer questions. Homeworks require a lot of time. Don't expect to get feedback on homeworks and projects until the end of the semester though.

Taught only basic concepts and nothing about application yet expects students to figure out applications on their own with no help and not even a starting point. Definitely the worst professor I've had, and reading powerpoint every lecture is horrible

Yes, she does do PPT presentations all the time, but she is always very late uploading them to the web. Boring, frustrating, unreliable. Didn't answer my emails with legitimate questions about the unclear syllabus and homework. Worst prof. I've had here.
