I enjoyed this class. I think my biggest take away was rehearse, know your audience, breathe root shake the shakes and remember its not about you its about your audience. Susan has an incredible way of communicating her message. She gave tools that can translate into everyday life as well as speaking. Both class & Professor Highly Recommended!

Professor Daniels knows a good amount about public speaking, and I certainly improved under her tutelage. But, there are some downsides to her courses. For one, she subtly integrates her political views into her teaching, which I find inappropriate for a public speaking course. Overall, the Professor Daniels is an average professor.

Professor Daniels is my favorite professor here!! She is so helpful and inspirational. I learned not only acting strategies from her but also many life-long lessons. She makes you aware that there are all kinds of possibilities in life and you can do anything if you want to!

I took this class because I wanted to improve my public speaking. Prof. Daniels provides a safe and supportive environment in which to do this. She is honest in her feedback but in such a way that makes you want to speak more not less. She is kind, funny, and easy to work with. But she values respect and part of that is being on time for classes.

This is my third time to take a class with this Professor. I'm so inspired by her character that she made me become an expected theater major. Solo Performance is a "must take" class if you are passionate about what you believe in and your life. And Professor would be an excellent mentor to help. Absolutely a life-changing professor! !

Susan Daniels is extremely dedicated to her students and her job. No matter the energy is like in the room, she makes sure that we all are up, energized, and comfortable for the classroom. She does not tolerate lateness or absences but she is not an intolerable and intimidatingly tough professor. She is sweet, engaging, and great at what she does!

This class was taught in a "collaborative" method, with different teachers almost every day, but the different people didn't really talk to each other. If you have any theatre background try to get out of this class - it was completely review for me. Group project experience was terrible - the "director" of my group didn't know how to direct.

Sweet lady. She's always in a great mood and very motivating. She has high expectations and expects you to work hard but is very approachable and helpful in scene work. Don't take this class for easy A's but take it for a change of scenery and a new perspective on performing arts.
