Professor Foster is nice as a person but, kind of a harsh grader as a professor. She only wants the answers to be written in her ways so pay attention in class and DONT EVER EVER skip class because even I never skipped class, I got a bad grade. Ps, she has a very soft voice so maybe it's a good idea to sit in the front row.

The worst class of my life. Work for the lab alone came out to about 6-8 hrs every week. The seminar added another 3. Comments on written work took months to get, and I felt she didn't notice the amount of work we put into it. Never take this class. Ever.

Exams are hard, especially the first one, I thought I nailed it and got a 76 or something, once you know what she is looking for it's pretty easy if you put in the effort, lab is okay, nothing special. she is extremely helpful outside of lecture, I recommend going to see her early and get your name known. Overall a good class

WOW. I did not like Foster's teaching style at all. She is a very nice lady, but even with constant meetings outside of class, I still did not satisfy her taste on exams. She will only grade you high if you put something her way, even if what you say is correct. Most definitely plays favorites...

Foster is awesome. She's sort of motherly but if you do well in her class and go to her for help a lot then she'll totally love you. In Bio101, she gives you review questions. If you do all the questions...garaunteed you'll do well. Her exams are sometimes right off the review sheet.

If you are taking her course on Evolution, prepare to work. And I mean WORK. And for the love of god, NEVER skip lectures because it will cost you dearly on the exams. Lots of detailed reading. Lots of writing. She is almost impossible to please either on exams or assignments so after working my tail off like never before I got a lousy B.

When she has an upperclass man class, I'm sure she is a much better professor, however with a bunch of freshman, she doesn't do well. She talks too fast and doesn't explain things she says. Her portions of the exams aren't fun, they require short answer, so they require too much thought, very good handwriting, and correct phrasing.

She's incredibly nice but she's a bit absent-minded. Her lectures are pretty disorganized, her visual aids are lacking, and her exam questions don't always make sense. She wasn't THAT bad, but there's definitely a lot of room for improvement. Ooh, and she goes REALLY fast in lecture.

Prof. Foster gets a bad rap, but she was an excellent teacher. Her lectures could be slowed down a bit so her students get more time to take in all the information. She is ALWAYS willing to make time for her students if they are having trouble in course, they just need to take the initiative.

very clear and organized. easy to do well on exams if you study enough. im not a fan of her stickleback fish though. she cares more about her research than helping students.

Susan Foster is not interested in her students. In fact, she takes more of an interest in stickleback fish than in her students and classes. She actually discouraged me from applying to med school, and today I'm a 2nd-year med student at Cornell.
