Dr. Hegel is knowledgeable, but her behavior is erratic and she is often rude, bordering on just plain mean. Since the classes she teaches are required, you cannot avoid her and that is a shame. I felt like I spent more time just trying to stay under the radar and avoiding her wrath than actually learning anything.

She is a very difficult professor but highly intelligent. My biggest problem is that she never really taught us how to do therapy. She would freak out in clinic when we wouldn't know how to do something (but she was the one who was supposed to be teaching it). Very moody and god help you if you got on her bad side. A stickler for correct grammar.

She is a terrible professor. I asked for help because I wasn't doing well on the exams and she told me, "You might try actually reading the material" She may understand the material, but she has no people skills and shouldn't be teaching.

She plays favorites, and if she doesn't like you, its likely that she never will. I have seen her make people cry. She's moody, and harsh- god help you if you ever go to talk to her one on one- avoid if possible.

her classes are very boring and she seems to focus on details that aren't that important. she has been short and snippy with me, and i've seen her humiliate other students. she also has funny messages on her door (during office hours) such as: knock only if it's vital! god save you if you do knock.

SHe is helpful, but really kind of moody. You can never really be sure what to expect from her, when she is happy, she is great, but when she is in a bad mood look out she can be pretty harsh!

This professor is rude and probably bi-polar! It is impossible to avoid taking her classes though, so good luck and try your best to stay on her good side! NEVER CALL HER SUSAN, SHE WILL FREAK OUT ON YOU!
