Dr. Briggs is easily one of my favorite professors. She includes hilarious anecdotes in her lectures, which help you remember the material better. Perhaps most importantly, there are plenty of plant-based snacks (chocolate, chips, fruits and vegetables, etc.) in lab. The tests are open-notes, so while they are tough, they are manageable.

Dr. Briggs is one of my favorite professors at Lycoming. She genuinely cares about each of her students. She does a fantastic job in lecture-they are always fun and exciting. She can be quite animated. Bio 333 is a lot of work. She expects at least 30 hours on each take home test, and there are four over the course of the semester.

Very interesting professor. Keeps class entertaining. Bring a highlighter to class and listen to everything she says and highlight everything she repeats from the reading. That's what your exams will be on. The exams were difficult, but for 333 they were interesting, too. Loved her as a professor. HATED collecting plants.

Excellent teacher, crystal clear lectures, just the right amount of challenge. I really learned a lot in her class. Very forgiving, very helpful. Keeps you interested and working hard, and you feel satisfied.

Nice Lady pretty funny too, Tough but fair...her exams can be tough but she is very straightforward and her lecture outline is great. Try to have her in lab she'll make it interesting.

Lectures tell you what u need to know. Study that, and u've got it. Wonderful to get to know. Get her laughing and she's the best. My lab group learned that. Scholars is pretty kool too. But just say no to grape jelly.

Anyone who doesn't agree with her is automaticallly closed-minded even if they have a fair point or complaint (not that she'll even listen to the arguement). Only wants us to see from her perspective. Heaven forbid someone tries to think out of the box! Not what I expected from scholars.

VERY harsh grader, but this IS college. Lectures are clear and to the point - take good notes and study hard and you'll do well, otherwise you fail. She's a very busy woman, but always makes time for you. Labs are not as fun, but she does her best at making the material interesting.

Depending on who you are, you'll love this class, or tolerate it. Those who hate learning about plants won't hate this class too bad because Briggs is an awesome teacher. If you love plants, this class is heaven for you. Personally, I'm a hater.

I have her for Scholars and she is pretty cool. The easiness rating is for Scholars seminar, which is VERY easy. I hear in her science classes she is tough; I wouldn't know.
