Comment:

She is so funny and goofy, absolutely love her. She cares about student success. She posts practice exams, which are a lot like the actual exams, so I suggest studying them a lot to prepare. The course is obviously hard, but she understands that and provides other ways to earn points other than the exams.

Hershberger is truly an amazing person. She makes ochem suck significantly less. She understands that her students don't need ochem for their future career and that they are simply in the class because they have to be. She can only get the clicker system to work like 50% of the time and gets mad at it which is rather humorous.

With this being an organic chemistry course she understands the preconceived notions about it and tries her absolute best to make it better on us. This is her first time teaching the course in a few years and she was extremely helpful whether in class, her office hours, or the lab. She allowed for points other than exams which was a savior.

She gets my nomination for worst teacher ever! She does not follow the textbook very closely but the textbook is terrible too. Tests are challenging but will have several questions which it is impossible to prepare for. Lectures = worthless

She trys her best to teach the material. If you go to her office hours she will sit with you for as long as you need...sometimes over an hour to make sure you understand. Her test are ALWAYS curved sometime as much as 15 points. Would recommend her anyday

Good teacher overall. Exams will destroy you if you don't prepare, but don't buy the book unless you haven't taken chemistry in a long time. Workshops are entirely worthless, 137 is not worth the 1 extra credit.
