Honestly, its not that I like Dr. B, I just think, based on reviews from the 2000s, he has changed. But, for Synoptic you have no other choice. Class is death by powerpoint, and In MET 455 its mostly a class on numerical models. He grades hard but fairly. He is a little awkward outside of class talking to students.

Comment:

Plain and simple. He is by far the best professor I have ever had in anything I've taken. No professor comes close to comparison in teaching skills. I've learned more in his class in 1/2 a semester than I have in the past 3 years of my college career. Dr. Blackwell for president!

Dr. B is the foundation of USA's meteorology program. He knows his stuff, and is always willing to help out his students. He takes a genuine interest in your success as a meteorologist. One suggestion: NEVER say anything bad about meteorology in his presence!

DR. Blackwell is absolutely the most helpful professor I have had. The classes he teach aren't easy by no means but if you pay attention you will become very knowledgeable in meteorology.

Dr B Rocks. He isn't easy but if you are a met major you dont ahve a choice on whether to take him or not. I very much enjoyed his class. Very willing to hang out after class and BS about weather in general and the latest and theories and such.
