Literally nothing I submit to her receives a good grade. In all of my other classes I receive nothing but A's not in her class. She provides zero useful feedback on what you can do to get a better and I've tried everything. Ironically, when I finally give up and post something without much thought whatsoever that's when I get a decent grade.

Highly recommend for clarity and encouragement. She's into steering, making you think, not pushing. Very reasonable about workload for abbreviated summer session, but not for the lazy. You'll need book for exercises in some chapters. All- around great experience.

I took this online over the summer. The readings + assignments are easy, though didn't really help me with my writing. SH herself gives great feedback, is always available, and gradesresponds to e-mails immediately. You can tell she loves what she does and wants you to succeed. Really grew as a writer with her. Take her!

This is the second class I've taken with Professor Hubbard and she is truly excellent. She gives very clear instructions, helpful feedback on both discussions and papers, and she makes the class fun. This was one of my least stressful classes this semester. The workload is about medium and the readings were insightful. I'd recommend this class!

This was my favorite class of the semester by far! Hubbard is hilarious & down to earth. I love her lectures & class exercises because they really give everyone a chance to be creative, but without all the stress. The online work was also helpful. I feel as if I received many helpful critiques. I will be taking another class with her soon for sure!

Her handwriting is terrible, but she has extremely useful advice during class and has a wonderful sense of humor. She is laid back and articulates herself well. Ask as many questions as possible--here's your chance to ask how to get published and improve your writing.

Best teacher at UCF! She knows everything about creative writing, but she doesn't come across as a know-it-all. Great class. She was always available to help. Plus, she has a sense of humor.

Professor Hubbard runs a fun, helpful fiction workshop. Short story writers should take any class with her that they can get.
