Very sarcastic and dry-humor, but she tells you exactly what she wants from you. Susan is definitely not afraid to be blunt and question you in front of the class, but she always means well and she's really a fantastic professor. There's a good bit of writing but nothing unmanageable.

Great professor, come to class and do the assignments and you will get a good grade. She understands that most people who take this class aren't theater majors and have other things to do but she still is very passionate. Just know that she hates tardiness and people who don't come to class so if that's you, you'll probably have a hard time.

She is so wonderful-- a super challenging teacher with a great sense of humor. This class is productively difficult. I left feeling more aware and more charged to be a theatre artist. Go through all of the readings thoroughly and read up on gender, class and race theory before the class for optimal results. Definitely take this class!

she is a quirky and funny professor. most of the time, you just sit and partake in interesting class discussion. this class is really easy, guranteed B at lowest! she will give you an extension on ANY paper, project, or assignment if you just ask! glad i took this class, a nice change from my bio major :)

She is a great person that'll keep you paying attention, but is a bit disorganized. Doesn't have much structure and usually pushes back deadlines. If you're interested, you can get through with no issues. I'm sure she's an awesome GWST teacher, should've taken her.

So much fun! She's a very entertaining person and manages to keep students' attention just by sneaking in funny comments. Her theater 120 course is sort of a guaranteed B so long as you do the work, and an A if you do the work and put in a lot of effort. Highly recommended for theater majors and non theater majors alike!
