She is a nazi with a blue pen. When i was a freshman I had her i watched her grade papers and actually go through all the in in a pen marking someones paper up. No mater how hard you worked you were wrong. Took the class over and received an A

Do NOT take her for evening classes...very boring lectures. Believes that her interpretation of poetry is the ONLY correct one even if you back up your analysis. Learned very little about actual critical techniques. She was also not very helpful.

Hands down the best teacher in the english dept. Absolutly knows her stuff and encourages depth and is soooo engaging. Kind, carind and intelligent. Its too bad to see her go.

quite possibly the worst teacher ever. i'm so glad she's retiring. she held me to some higher standard and gave me horrible grades. a kid who didnt show up to half her classes got the same grade as me which was the bare minimum needed to pass. hate her.

Everyone told me not to take her because she was so tough. I loved her class though. I really worked hard for my grade but I learned so much. She was very clear about hw and tests, gave good notes and had was always available for extra help
