She is one of the most fantastic teachers I have ever had. Do not let other comments fool you: the only reason this is an easy class is because Susan is so incredibly supportive, the class just feels easy. If you dislike reading or writing, this class will change your perspective of it. She uses interesting tools to teach and is wonderful.Take her!

Very nice teacher and kind to students. Great for those who want an easy A. Took her honor's class and did almost no work. She is much too nice and lets students walk all over her and some take advantage of her blindness and leave class early. Too nice to students, didn't learn anything from class.

Susan is truly an amazing person and an amazing teacher. She always has a positive attitude and it really rubs off on her students. She is flexible, fairly easy, and gives assignments that are actually interesting and fun to do. I am so grateful that I had her as a teacher - you can't not love Susan!

Professor Schulter is an amazing and beautiful person. I am currently taking her class, and I would take it again! She is always cheerful and has so much to offer as an educator. I have never met such a knowledgeable instructor. I recommend this class to everyone.

she is great friend first, then a teacher. I learned how to look at life in her class. the class is so intersting and useful that u always want to do more. although it was a pitty to see people who used her blindness and did other homeworks in her class or texted, or walkled out for long time, u know who u r, plz have manner and show respect

First off, DONT BUY ALL THE BOOKS, wait until she tells you, you need them. We had about 15 or so books this semester, but we didn't use all of them. For her teaching style, she is a very very understanding teacher and for the essays allows you a lot of freedom in what you choose to write about, which is excellent. She has Amazing stories.

Susan is an amazing teacher. She is quite a friend as well. Great for recommendations for colleges. We had 15 books this semester for class along with 4 essays which is to be expected with an honors course. I took her for Eng.1A and will take her again for Eng. 013

Wonderful! So inspiring and encouraging. I didn't learn many new things in writing mechanics. What I really needed was the encouragement that I can be a good writer. Susan provided that encouragement. She gave us lots of freedom in choosing essay topics. Peer editing of papers was especially helpful. I'm waiting a year to take her again for 1B!!

I really liked my Chicano Studies class with Susan. We did read a lot of books, but the majority of the class you get to have an open discussion. If your a slacker it is pretty easy, and if your motivated and inspired about literature, the sky is the limit for exploration and analysis of the subject matter. She is great and very kind.

Mrs. Schulter is awesome! I highly recommend her as an instructor. She's very open minded and encouraging. The classes are usually a huge forum where you get to explore different ideas and develop your own thoughts. The work is very customize to the pace of the class. Absolutly inspiring!! It is so refreshing to learn from someone who has such a great attitude towards life. She will open up new doors for you and make you see things that you would ordinarily overlook. She is increadibly sweet and cares about each and every one of her students!
