Comment:
Dr. Williams is one of the best professors I've had at KU. She relates to her students and makes sure that they are emotionally okay. She was a great help for me and I would recommend taking any class with her. Please note that passing her class will not come easy. You need to demonstrate your knowledge and make sure she knows you understand.

I can say nothing bad about Professor Williams. Best professor I have had at KU. Challenging material, but it's a piece of cake compared to what Engineering majors have in subsequent semesters. Once she graded over 100 tests in 48 hours just so that we would know grades before the final. Great sense of humor. Two words: character and integrity.

Williams is very passionate about what she teaches. She truly cares about students. The material is very difficult. Hw is doable but tests are far harder than the hw & practice problems. She has a "all test scores have to average 60% to pass the class" policy which seems unfair and unreasonable. She doesn't lecture. All material is learned outside

HW and labs were doable, however the exams were alot harder than the hw and killed my grade. Lectures fairly helpful, and she was usually available. Stay ontop of the hw and do LOTS of practice problems. I didn't do enough.

Great teacher. Checks her email on iPhone and usually responds within the hour to homework questions. Exams are VERY hard, but can be conquered if the material is thoroughly read and understood.

She is a great professor. I wasn't sure I really wanted to be a chemical engineer until I took her class. You'll need to be pretty good at excel for the term project so know solver like the back of your hand. This goes for Thermo II and Econ as well and will help with Fluids

Lectures are useful and to the point. The concepts in the homework are more difficult than those in the tests but the tests combine ALL the concepts in a 1 or 2 problems. Very helpful and clear about the course objectives and her expectations. I would take her again and again and again...

She is a very god teacher. very good that you cannot get mad at her for giving you a hard exam. However, if she wanted, she could make your exam HELL. (Fall 10 final). HW and lab problems are almost no where near the exam level of toughness. Recommended thu.
