She responds to e-mails 3+ weeks after you send them. Doesn't have clear criteria at all for her papers, so you don't know exactly what she wants - although she will let you rewrite them for a better grade. Half the class tuned out into their iPads/phones & she was oblivious. Pretty much the lovechild of Trelawney and Umbridge, if it were possible.

Fantasy Literature: Harry Potter is an excellent class! Her lectures are incredible. She has so much knowledge on the books and backgrounds, I was interested the whole time. It is a lot of listening, but if you love Harry Potter, it's not a problem. There is a lot of reading, but as long as you show up and do the work, it's an A. Best class!

She is the best! Susen James comes straight out of the Harry Potter books in my opinion. ALL TIME FAVORITE, easy A. I recommend this class to anyone who loves the HP series and wants to go above and behind the books

Fantasy Literature Harry Potter: Best. Class. EVER!!! What an amazing teacher and the best subject matter possible, of course. :) In-class discussions are incredible and papers are fun to write. It's so great to be around a bunch of fellow Potter freaks. :)

Susen is a doll. She's enthusiastic, supportive, and fun. No book! She's kind of funny about attendance, but she can be reasoned with. A generally sweet lady, although she could be tougher with people who suck...everyone is brilliant to her. But that's a positive thing too.
