She was a really easy professor, and the class was really boring, but I still recommend you show up, because she gives out a lot of information in the lectures. The journals are easy and she accepts late journals.

Most boring class I have ever taken. A lot of busy work was assigned as nightly journals and a lot of reading. Grading criteria for essays/ tests was extremely unspecific. I showed up to every class except two however I always participated in lectures and still I received 5/20 points for participation.

This class is extremely easy as long as you show up every day to class. Her lectures are boring however she basically gives the answers to the questions on the study guide. Very sweet lady. Textbook isn't really necessary since all the stories you read can easily be found online.

Prof. Cassel is a nice woman, however, she is the worst professor I've ever had. She clearly didn't like my writing style and often left comments on my submissions that were borderline rude and unclear. She will make you do irrelevant exercises she calls "icebreakers" and assign waste of time homework on them. Her teaching style is not for everyone

She is a very helpful teacher, but I didn't agree with her grading method. I felt that I could have done well in her class, but she grades really hard and takes the time to provide good feedback and help. Her textbook is useful and her notes are good. Make sure to study hard and keep up with the lectures.

Such a sweet Professor. She truly new her subject and she was always willing to answer questions. The class consists of 2 tests and one final paper. If you do all of the journals and go to every class you basically have the answers to the tests and final paper. I 100% recommend taking Professor Cassel's class; It's easy and entertaining.

Professor Cassel is a nice person but not the best professor. If she doesn't like your style of writing, she never will. Her lectures are somewhat bland and she doesn't manage her time very well. The important stuff is always at the end of the lecture but she has to speed through it because she didn't leave enough time. Wouldn't recommend.

She's passionate for what she teaches. Lectures can get boring if youre overall not interested in the subject but not a biggie. You read and write a journal entry before each class meeting. By the end of the semester I'm sure youll find some parts of the course more interesting than others :) I definitely recommend her!

This is one of the best LTWR professors she is so passionate and cares about her students, you can tell she really loves her career!! I took her for LTWR 100 There is reading every class meet days but they are usually very short. I've learned so much and super glad I took her. she's such a sweet nice lady! 2 test one final paper gives study guides.

Professor Cassel really cares about the success of her students. You do need to read in this class, but most readings are not very long. You study Short Stories, Poetry, and Drama. There is an exam on the first two sections with a paper due at the end of the Drama section. As long as you do what is required you should get a good grade.

The lectures were very long and dragged out but the material itself was very interesting. The requirements were really basic. 3 sections in the whole semester (short stories, poetry, and drama) and before each class you had to do an online journal and then a test at the end of each unit. You definitely need to read to pass.

Wonderful teacher, she's fun, sassy, and clear on what she expects from you. Try not to skip class if you do it can be hard to keep up. She basically gives the answers to the tests during her lectures. Tests are nothing to stress about if you've done the reading. Final paper is a breeze. Weekly journals about readings.

Professor Cassel is a good teacher but she was really unorganized for my class (assigned hw but wouldn't upload it until an HOUR before it was due). She'll like you if you're a guy but is EXTREMELY misogynistic even though she's an educated woman. It was kinda sad actually. I don't recommend her.

I was dreading this class because I suck at writing essays and I do not enjoy reading at all. But Professor Cassel made class so enjoyable and bearable. She understands that it is a general education class and keeps her requirements consistent with those or a general education course. Just read, try your best, and participate and you will do great!

Comment:
She's so nice and helpful. She likes to challenge you to think critically. Her tests are essays and a few questions. She is a bit of a hard grader, but the discussions in class are really helpful because a lot of what is discussed can be used in your papers. Do the readings and go to class, it's an interesting course.
