Professor is not interactive at all. He talks to himself and does not really care if you understand or not. He gives a lot of examples but he skipped an important part which showed up on the midterm (he explained it after midterm).

Susil Das is caring and kind teacher, but does have a thick accent and requires the help of a mic so it's not super clear what he says. However, he's extremely patient and will answer your questions in class or outside of class. Due to the nature of this course, you simply have to practice (practice problems, tutorial problems, past exams).

lectures can be heavy but he covers the essentials in class, you dont need to go the lectures. Just practice from the assigned questions understand the materials and you should be good for the finals. His midterms and finals are straightforward if you understand the materials. Hes also very helpful during his office hours

The course material itself is pretty tough (especially the labs) and I had trouble following his lectures at times. However, he is friendly and helps students when they don't understand. He even provided us with past midterms and solutions so that we could practice.

His exams are easy and straightforward (from notes). However, he's really bad marker. he takes off so many points if you don't get the final answer corrects. expect to get 1 or 2 out of 10 if you don't get the final answer right, even if you built your steps correct. A lot of questions are similar to the samples that he posts on Moodle

Looking at the older comments, it seems like this teacher has changed his ways. He is EXTREMELY helpful in class, will come talk to you to see if you understand during breaks. Midterm was simple, final was a little harder but not brutal at all. His notes are SO good, just have to make sure you listen and write them down.

The course is crazy; far more work than its 3.5 credits suggest. The lab component is a collosal waste of time. In terms of professors, I have tried them all for this course, and Prof. Das is the nicest, most useful one. If you have a choice, take him.

A good teacher. Funny and practical. You will have to read between the lines to understand some hiden messages =D but he'll make sure u know when to look for them. Just be carefull for he makes alot of mistakes in assignment solutions and in marking papers. but when asked about it he will not deny his mistake and will give back marks.

Avoid him at any cost..this indian guy doesnt teach well compared to others like ahmed omair..or ramachandran..marks so hard that you might fail..even though you thought your exam was pretty fine..i failed..!!!

Das isn't a bad teacher for ELEC 275, but the class itself is ridiculous. The marking is incredibly strict; I accidentaly put a - instead of a + for a correct voltage magnitude, and received 1/8 on the question because of it. The final was brutal. Nothing will ever prepare you for the final, just get that in your head.

Horrible. Worst teacher an all of enginnering. first class he says how he likes to get you on the final. only solves problem and doesn't explain how to use the methods he's using. Try to avoid anyway you can, or study like you've never studied before since you would need this class for many others.
