Dr. Maurer is an excellent teacher!:) She explains everything extremely clearly. Her class is a breeze as she gives you study guides before the test. She tells you exactly whats on the test!! If you go to class and study what she gives you, you will do great!

very good prof. do NOT bother buying the book, she just goes over definitions in class and that is her way of teaching. her lectures dont follow the book. part a of the tests are just on the definitons and part b are essays which she tells you ahead of time. she is very nice and for the most part interesting

Maurer is an amazing speaker and a great professor. She is EXTREMELY clear about what to take on her tests, and always answers questions for you. She's very easy to listen to, and the fairest teacher I've ever had. If you have to take a social science, her soc class is great to obtain the credit.

This is a pretty easy class- shes a very nice woman and has amazing public speaking skills. If you have a question, she is more than willing to clarify for you. TIPS: study for exams (group studies help), go to class, take good notes/dont fall asleep. This class gets a little boring sometimes, but hang in there- its a pretty easy A

Her idea of teaching a class is reading off a list of words and defining them. No cohesion whatsoever. She takes an immensley interesting subject and turns it borring. Don't take her if you have any interest in Sociology.

Dr. Maurer is the sweetest woman ever. There is really not much more that I can say. She doesn't like to just stand there and lecture, she likes to involve the students. She is caring and really wants us to learn as much as possible. Her class was amazing

This woman was HORRIBLE... She is such a horrible teacher, she really doesnt care about her students. I dont kno i think she has some underlying issues she needs to address.. I dont kno how a student who gets all B's on test gets a C in the class?? But that was just MY experience with her.

Dr. Maurer is the best soc. prof @ KU!! She makes classes fun and informative. She always welcomes questions and is always willing to help you out without making you feel stupid. Study for the tests and go to class(which is easy b/c she's HOT!) and you'll be fine. AWESOME!!! TAKE HER!!!!

Heres some advice: 1. go to class. 2. take good notes. 3 STUDY. I can never pay attention in classes, but with her I can! Study hard for tests, I got a B in the class and worked really hard. She always has office hours available, shes a good teacher, i learned SO MUCH!
