I can't remember if i ever even opened my textbook for this class. lecture is him reading word-for-word off a slideshow. he is a retired FBI special agent, so you'd think he'd be interesing/exciting and have good stories, but he doesn't share any of his personal expertise, just teaches to the text. very low attendance reflect his boring lectures.

Kind of boring but he's a really nice professor. Always willing to help. If you read the book you should do well on the tests. Tests are based mostly on book material rather than what you learn in class. Don't wait until the last minute to get started on the big project!

Wow! Coyle is such a boring professor! I fell asleep in his class everytime! His exams are ridiculously hard! Make sure to buy the additional study guide because it will def help. If you go to class and read you should be fine tho.

He is a veryyyyyyy nice guy, but can be reallyyyy boring sumtimz...going to class is really not important at all!, but u have to read the book...I was a little dissappointed by the tests, because they didnt reflect what he said or told us to study....but overall, i would take him again if I had to.

WOW! Do not take this guy for the sake of your grade! Boring........is not the word! Like the laast person said, studied for hours and got a 72 because the questions were randomn things that u just dont read. I followed the exact steps for the paper and got a 70 on it. Absolute waste of my time!!!

im an adj major & this guy is the most boring person alive, to me! studied for hours for the 2nd exam- & i got a 66 -the tests questions are so random & thus, hard. i dont even know why i keep coming to class. there is over 200 kids in my class- & i counted the other day & there were only 47 there -more than half of those were asleep.

As with other people, I would have to agree that his teaching methods are crappy. He is a really nice guy. However, you only have 4 grades. The paper (25% of grade), your midterm, your final, and another test that you take during the semster. There IS not extra credit or anything else, so don't even LOOK for it.

Don't take him, he's extremely boring, and his lectures put you to sleep. There's an 8 page paper you have to do (25% of grade), and every test is 100 questions. He speeds through every chapter and it's hard to keep up. Nice guy, he knows what he's talking about, he just sucks at teaching.

All you need to do is read and study well(all terms, cases, summary, & everything) and do the paper (court visit or interview). Class is useless unless you have questions or need s/t clarified(he basically zooms through the book and answers q's)He's a very nice guy and is always there to help.Do your part and you'll get an A! He teaches straight out of the book and that does get old. Three 100 question multiple choice questions and one 8 page paper. The paper is easy and he is generous on the grading, but the tests are a real pain. He has a lot of questions that were not covered in class.
