It baffles me that Tadashi has any bad reviews he is the best math teacher at skyline he is really good at explaining things in simple clear terms what he teaches is exactly what is on his tests as long as you pay attention to his lectures, study your notes, and get help on anything your unclear about it will be a breeze! He's a really nice guy

He is lecture heavy although I found that they didnt really help when it came to the hw. There are about 4 exams during the semester which cost a lot of your overall grade although if you have a 95% overall hw grade, you can drop your lowest test score. Would not recommend taking him unless you already have a solid grasp of calculus.

After reading the reviews, I was surprised. He was super friendly and accessible outside of class time. I loved his lectures and found that he graded tests very fairly. He gave credit where it was due. He also prepped some extra study material for me over the summer. Looking forward to taking Calculus 2 and 3 with him!

Honestly a great teacher. One of the best math professors i've had. He made calculus 3 easy to understand because he explains the material very well. He cares, but is a little hard to reach outside of class because he is very busy. Very homework heavy, but rewarding if you put in the work.

Beware of taking this class. Homework is alright if you understand it, but if you don't, go to the learning center. However, his tests are a bit hard and WORTH 70% of your grade. He doesn't give you much good examples too. If you fail a test, it can be replaced with what you get on your final, but only if you have 95% or higher on your homework.

I wouldn't recommend taking his class, he only cares about his reputation without helping students to succeed in learning Calculus. The reason he gives hard tests is that other students blaming him. If you did not answer a question without his idea in the class, he will drop you a letter grade.

Great calc teacher, he takes the time to explain the material. If you don't understand it, you can always go to his office hours or stay a little after class. All the homework is on Wiley and he gives an average amount. He makes sure the class understands the material and is funny, kindhearted person.

Great teacher. He explains the material for half of the class time, then lets us do practice problems while he walks around and helps people. He explains everything clearly. I got an A pretty easily. I would take him again if I could.

I've had Tadashi for Math 120, Math 130 and taking him for Math 222 currently. I love his teaching style and his "test forgiveness act" is a life saver!Basically what it is, is that he drops your lowest test grade and replaces it with whatever you get on the final. The only condition is that you have to have a 95% or higher in HW. Best thing ever!

Definitely would not recommend. Does not follow the textbook. He claims that he cares more about the process than the right answer when it comes to grading on tests. This simply is not true. Gives very little credit if you try to solve a problem. Inaccessible when contacting him out of class. There are much better professors than him.

Great teach, great class! Lectures are great. If you miss something you can grab it easily through online work. He is very consistent in his test, that is good. He gives extra time on the test, so it prevent you from doing silly mistakes. Sometimes he is giving some fun material, just to make us interested in subject. Take him!!!

he gives problems for us to do for entire class periods and doesnt go over how to solve them. he gives examples don't help much. notes he gives you are more or less straight outta a textbook. you're better off looking up videos how to do the work he assigns unless youre good at learning from a textbook and forming study groups with friends.

class is basically teach yourself. gives few examples and spends more time having you figure the material out on your own and talking about why what you're learning is important as opposed to giving more examples.

I absolutely loved him! He was one of the best professors I have ever taken for college. He's very helpful and clear when it comes to the material. Even if you need help, he will try in his best ability to explain things in different ways. He really does care about his students, plus his positive attitude made me interested in actually learning.

He gives formulas that you read from the book but doesn't give too many examples and the ones he give are the easy ones. Gives ton of word problems and assigns online homework without telling the class. Tests were alright, similar to the homework problem.

Lectures mostly involve him giving formulas & explaining without many examples. Online homework is what he talks about in lecture, but harder. Tries to build your math sense by giving word/physics problems instead of going straight to the math & spends whole class periods for the class to figure out them. Assigns homework without telling the class.

He is very clear and will help you. The tests are easy if you did the homework because they're very similar. Take notes. He lets you have a notecard (cheat sheet) for chapter tests.

Instead of giving examples to teach, he makes you figure it out with the knowledge you already have. Online homework is basically teach yourself and read from the online text because he doesn't teach as much as he should during class. He makes the material confusing and is well aware of it, but doesn't do anything about it. Class is teach yourself.

Professor Tsuchida is a very strict but friendly instructor. His tests are easy 100% if you know wth is going on. If he sees you understand the material, he gives a lot partial credit even you made a big mistake on a the test problem, and vice versa.
