She is extremely knowledgeable on the subject but doesn't seem to know how to effectively present it to students. She is very kind and clearly cares about her students and their success but this does not make up for the fact that she is difficult to learn from. If another professor is available I would recommend choosing them instead.

Awesome math teacher and is great at explaining calculus on a clear level. Lectures are very relaxed and mandatory. Grading is very clear and is easy to keep track of. My gripe with the class is online homework in WebWork. Tests perfectly challenge what you learn in class and are fun! Crazy I'd be saying that. Very happy and highly recommended!

Can be a very hard professor to work with based on the fact that she does not know how to teach statistical topics to college students. She is a very smart woman but has a particularly hard time "dumbing" down the information. Midterm and final were open note but extremely difficult to finish in the time allotted. Avoid if possible.

AVOID. She's miserable, unenthusiastic, rude, condescending, arrogant and boring. She thinks re-writing proofs on the board is teaching. If you dare to ask a question, she'll tell you it's not her problem you don't understand. As an exam P prep course, this was completely useless. The final was utterly unfair. One of the worst classes I've taken.

Dr. Margolius is one of the most intelligent professors I've ever met. Her teaching methods can sometimes be confusing, but she is always willing to help students. Quite a bit of homework and webwork is used too. The exams are all based on lecture as well. She's not easy, but she's fair

She's VERY smart when it comes to calculus, but she isn't very good at making it easy to understand. For someone who makes up the tests, she didn't prepare us all that well for them and the final was ridiculously different from what she said it would be. Take LaPlaca if you can. He is 100x better at explaining it than she is.

Above average professor. She really knows her stuff, but often struggles to explain it to class. Very timely in regards to responding to questions over homework.

I found this teacher to be about average. She did what she could to help everyone, but sometimes her explanations were above the class's heads. She's very kind and respectful, but can sometimes get off track from the objectives of the course and take the material to a new level. I'd recommend to mathematics majors

Had her at CWRU in 1992 fall for Calc II. She was a PhD student at the time. She is really brilliant she really is. Knows Calc forward and backward. First exam was hard second easier, third between the first two. Got a B with curve but probably deserved a D. Students should challenge themselves with one of CSU's treasures.

Does not take enough time to explain difficult concepts. Expects the TA to do her work in explaining the material to the students. Do not take this teacher unless you are brilliant or can teach yourself!

She is tough, but also pretty fair about giving chances to make up tests and work to improve your grade. I like that you have work other than tests towards your grade. Tests and webwork are pretty difficult and time consuming but you will definitely learn a lot in this class. She is very helpful.

In class, her lectures are about the theoretical aspects of probability. The homework and tests are application-based. She is very helpful, very nice, a breath of fresh air in a math department which is mediocre at best. Can be tough at times but occasionally curves scores. Recommended.

Very helpful and effective teacher...I highly recommend her. Keep in mind, however: you are in college now. You have to do some work to pass your math classes.
