Never had a professor that was so oblivious to what is going on in her class. Syllabus was put up 2 weeks late. Didn't know the quiz results couldn't be viewed to study later. Quizzes are very difficult and not very helpful. Hw is eas Testing Criteria is long and tedious. Exam review answer key is very unclear and so many mistakes. It's ridiculous.

Tamara is a good professor. She prints out packets with computational problems that she will go through in class and it's useful to study off of for quizzes and exams. Make sure to do the practice exam because you're guaranteed to do well on the exam. She gives out plenty of extra credit. Nice lady, but a bit awkward. Goes thru the material fast.

This professor pretends she cares about student's accounting level when she actually doesn't. She just cares about teaching what she planned and never explains anything. Moreover she gives really complicated cases even when she didn't really explained the material. In a nutshell it is a very disappointing class.

Phelan has a dry sense of humor, yes, but she is a good teacher! The class itself is pretty boring however, and her powerpoints don't exactly help all that much. Gives tons of extra credit opportunities, and the online homework is easy points to boost your grade! Lots of in class problems that really help. Very friendly. Overall pretty good!

Showed up to teach managerial accounting to NIU MBA students. On day one she clearly was on vacation mode, stating "I was just in Hawaii". On the last day she hurried us out because "I'm leaving for France". Also on first day she stated she bombed the CPA exam and she's teaching accounting? Got majority of her own problems wrong, $ down drain.

Great teacher! Funny and interesting for such a boring subject. Clearly understands Accounting, as she was a partner at E&Y. Gives extra credit and will help with homework. Anyone who does poorly, it's your own fault. I love Phelan and her cute jackets!

She is a terrible teacher. Never knows what she is talking about so the students have to guide her through what she is doing. The material is really easy she just doesn't seem to know anything about it. Our first exam was exactly like the study guide and then everyone did well so she made the 2nd exam extremely hard... Don't take her!!!

Phelan is an awesome teacher. very easy to talk to. will check your HW and tell you if its right. gives u a practice test to study from. know the practice test and you will do well on the actual test. gives a lot of EC. Would take another class with her any day.

I have never met a teacher so willing to help students in my entire live. If you are failing her class its your own damn falt...im sorry someone got butt hurt in an upper level class but she's one of the best teachers i have ever had.

She is very helpful with the material, if anything is hard it is due to the accounting and not her. Attendance is mandatory but she not a heavy weight. You get one group quiz to help your grade and homework only like once a week or less. Great teacher... would recommend for ACCY 307

This class is really easy and Mrs. Phelan is a very easy teacher. The tests are exactly like the study guides, the quizzes are easy especially the group quizzes. Homework is easy but really boring. I'd recommend her if you want to get an A or B easily

For such an easy class as the internship class - she grades papers hard. She also has a serious attitude problem. She thinks that the whole world should worship her - and on top of it, she doesn't seem to know a thing about accounting. I guess thats why she teaches an internship class that has no tests and only papers.

Very guided setup, very easy class. 3 tests, 4 quizzes, homework and a cumulative final. Watch out for that though, as its work 30% of the grade. Test averages are around 80%. If you show up every day, easy A. Would recommend. FINA major.
