Dr. Tamrat is one of the most amazing people I know. He will always look out for you. IF you show up to class and give him your full attention you will more than likely get an A. In this class, you are given some summaries to do on a book, a few summaries on political topics currently, and a cumulative paper. Great professor!

Professor Tamrat is one of the most caring professors I have ever taken classes with. Some of his topics can be very uncomfortable with some but he really opens your eyes to see what is in front of you.

Dr. Tamrat's class opened me up from a small town life to a better understanding of those who surface around me. You may not like all of the topics covered in the class all of the time, and some may be uncomfortable based on your upbringing but it is real life! NO ELECTRONICS! DO NOT BE LATE! ACT LIKE AN ADULT, and you will do great! HE CARES!

Loveee this professor!! Very helpful towards students. Hates if you're late or miss class but that's literally his only expectation!!!! He talks a ton but he knows a ton so it's fun to listen to him. Will get an easy A if you're respectful and show up!

I'm not kidding when I say please please please save yourself the anger and trouble and do NOT take this professor. He claims to care greatly about his students but will embarrass you in front of the entire class. Super unclear about what he wants and literally will rant for hours... I have never had a more horrible professor.

He is such a great professor! Yes, he's a tough cookie but he's a caring person. He truly cares about his students and the difference they make after the class. The only bad thing is he interrupts student presentations... a lot. If you're absent from class, he calls you out on it too. Communicate with him and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Professor Tamrat is an amazing professor. I highly recommend taking classes with him. He is caring, understanding. You will get an easy A in his class. There is no quizzes, midterms or final. There are only comprehensive paper and group projects. His lectures are fun but most of the time he will show videos in class.

Tamrat isn't a bad professor. But he freaks out if you aren't in class and you didn't tell him beforehand. No homework on a weekly basis, but you watch movies and he expects summaries of them all. You are basically graded on the notes you take. Just do the work and show up to class and he'll like you.

95% of the class based on events of 911, interesting to a point but causes burn-out on topic. Left yearning for a greater span on environmental justice topics (the subject of the class). A typical textbook not used, but book report on 911 commission report required for passing

He is the best professor in my life. He grades clearly. He gives extra credit for extra work. He is funny and nice to all students. He allows student to leave class early in case of emergency or sick. He is an awesome teacher.

Tamrat was an amazing professor! Although he can get off topic from the lecture he makes the class fun. He's so understanding and will help you with anything you have questions on. GET THE BOOKS - you will need them!

The lectures are the whole class period and feel like they just go on and on and have nothing to do with what were learning. Does not have a email, so your suppose to call or text him and he never responds and then will yell at you the next week if you didn't let him know you wouldn't be there. For a one credit class 4, 4 page papers is a lot.

I don't recommend this class to anyone. He's a nice guy, but he never gives clear statistics. He only gives his life experience and he is hypocritical. He waits all semester until the last month and gives a 20 page paper, 3 books to read, 2 presentations, movie summaries, etc.. He'll stop your movie every 30 secs to put his input in. Very annoying.

This class was an uphill battle. Nice guy, but almost never clear on what he wants except for a huge comprehensive paper and 2 presentations, and not too helpful when you ask for clarification. Wouldn't take him again, and I wouldn't recommend him.
