I have so much respect for her. She teaches dry courses like "Research Method". No prof receives good rating for teaching courses that is hard and dry. But Tania is not afraid to teach hard courses & she reaches out to every student in her course to make it meaningful learning experience for students. And she has the best T.A. for her courses.

Professor Gupta is very tough and sometimes has a difficult time communicating what she expects in assignments. While sometimes we did not see eye to eye, she was supportive through the 2018 York University strike and ensured that the graduating students had ample opportunity to hand in their outstanding assignments.

The most boring professor at York, Teaches about racism but refuses to "turn the gaze" will always think one sided never allows criticism or a different opinion on racialized communities shot comings. wants you to ascribe to her views of the world, no independence so if you want to pass her class you have to write a paper is a long the race.

Professor Das Gupta is truly a gem at YorkU. She is very passionate and super reasonable - attend classes, be engaged with the readings, participate and you'll be successful. The research paper is also a great assignment that will definitely strengthen your research skills. I definitely recommend this course!

She's a brilliant and the class isn't hard. It requires for you to attend every class and take notes. Her exams aren't no surprise, but if your a lazy student don't take it because u gotta actuarially study. nonetheless the information is really interesting

Make sure you attend class because not all concepts are stated within the textbook. I found her lectures to better informing. She's a brilliant woman and knows her topic in and out. She prepares you well for the exams. This is a course heavily based on concepts so know them. I am fascinated by her research. Just brilliant! I loved her course!

Great Prof. Great lecturer, VERY organized, very clear and easy to pick out important points from lectures. Easy to follow. Class is GREAT! Very interesting. Readings are also great, not boring at all. She is very helpful when it comes to exams (preparing you). Very generous with giving students a review for the exam! Sweet lady. Great Job Tania!

She didn't seem to have any real interest in the class. Sad to say she is the Chair of teh SOCI dep. for Atkinson. I really don't recomend her as a prof. In a class of over 200 people, the last two weeks of school there were between 28 and 18 students in the class... tutorials were the best part... Don't take her

Race relations is a very interesting field of study but Das Gupta managed to make it otherwise. Although the readings were quite good, she herself is leaves much to be desired in terms of preparation and passion. At some point she might have loved the topic; now she's just going through the motions. My suggestion: do a reading course instead.
