This man literally saved my life. He was my advisor, so when he noticed I was struggling with school he took me aside and gave me the support I needed. He got me extentions in all my classes and was more helpful than the therapists on staff. I took classes with him every semester. He also taught me so much about music theory and history. Great guy.

Comment:

Musical Revolutions was an extremely challenging but rewarding class. Dr. Conner presents a genius essay structure that merges creativity and logic in a way that will change the way you think. He is super quick to grade essays and is not dogmatic in his approach. Overall a fantastic professor.

Dr. Conner is a very kind and laid back person. He genuinely cares about your success and well-being and does his best to teach you without any judgment or forcing you to be anxious or uncomfortable. He gives great study guides and he is truly passionate about music. I also had his FYS which was tough but it really made me think critically.

I had Music History 2 with Dr. Conner and it was very enjoyable. It is supposed to be a writing intensive class but we never ended up getting around to the papers. Collects notes on readings weekly. I am now taking World Music with Dr. Conner--LOTS of participation required, 20 page paper...avoid that class

I had him by accident (replaced another professor), but really disliked the class. Too much liberal philosophy. He was pretty unclear about the papers, and the journal idea was plain terrible. Good advisor, pretty available for help.
