Dr Ted Hubbard is the best lecturer at Dal, hands down no contest. The only prof that encourages and rewards critical thinking similar to real world engineering. His class is one of the main reasons I stayed at Dal and stayed in mechanical. Watch out though, his exams are VERY unusual.

Great Professor, works hard all year long. Very organized and to the point. If you are interested you will rock the class, but if you slack off he has no time for people like that. Learned a lot about myself, team work, and engineering on a whole. Great class!

amazing prof actually acres about the student. gets to know your name, helpful 1 on 1. his one flaw is that He goes very fast in class, reading along in the book as he goes is extremely helpful. the book will be your crutch in this class.. good book too!love teddy and all his "visual aids" keeps it interesting.

Very knowledgable, very smart, but doesn't like to waste his time. He'll go over things once and that'll be it. He doesn't mince words and is not concerned with niceness, so if your feelings are easily hurt, steer clear from him. Knows what he's doing though, and is very passionate about it.

Damn teddy... one of the most educational courses you could take, and ted is the best guy to teach it, but when it comes to exams, run the other way. By the end of it you'l most likley fail the course, but at least you learned how to design springs. try putting that on your resume..

a decent professor. Makes a determined effort to demonstrated everything clearly. Uses in-class demos of real machines and other devices to aid his lectures. Tests a much tougher than class quizzes and assignments; have a lot of logic/thinking problems.
