Ted Lardner is one of the most quality professors you could ever have. He genuinely cares about his students, and will brighten your day when he walks in the classroom. He is kind and learns every one of his students names, which is rare for a professor at such a large university. If you have the chance to have him, do it!! you will not regret it!!

Dr. Lardner is friendly, helpful, and genuinely wants his students to succeed. He also gives a lot of useful commentary and faciliative feedback with regard to assignments, and he is clearly very knowledgeable of his field. My only concern is that he might go a little too easy on people.

Professor Lardner is one of the best professors I have ever had. He genuinely cares about his students and their writing. He gives lots of great feedback and is always willing to help. He helps you get started and leaves room for your own creativity. He is also an all around nice guy. Great class and even better professor.

He is a great professor. His expectations are high but you want to strive to meet them because of how laid back, helpful, and passionate he is about what he teaches. The work load is typical for Comp Theory and Creative Writing. But he is always there to offer guidance and clarity. There is no reason not to complete work or meet his expectations.

Best teacher I've had so far, in life! He is not only "down to earth", but he's understanding and very passionate about writing and expressing. He can also be very animated :) You can tell that he really cares about his students and what he's teaching.

Ted is one of the most down to earth people in the world. Really enjoyed taking his class. Probably would take it again if I was allowed back in the university. Anyway, Ted is the man. He is very accommodating and is very smart.

Comment:
Prof.Lardner is down to earth & super enthusiastic about the material. You'll spend a lot of time discussing reading in class.Only complaint is that the exams were often perfunctory, containing questions that required finding the word-for-word answer from one line in the novel. His reading picks were unconventional but interesting. Good lit teacher!

Really intelligent guy who is passionate about what he teaches and cares about his students. If only he had challenged us... All exams for Native American Lit consisted of going back in the text and finding out "what color the sand was in this passage." He's a wonderful person and he picked some beautiful books, just needs to push students more!

Nicest guy, but I wouldn't recommend taking Lardner for a class if you're interested in critical analysis. He's definitely more of a creative writing instructor. Plus, the books he picks are so random and non-canonical no one has ever even heard of them.

BORING. MUNDANE. ALLOWED THE CLASS TO TAKE OVER DISCUSSION ALL OF THE TIME WHICH LED TO 2 HOURS OF OPINIONATED BS. DID NOT PRACTICE WHAT HE PREACHED REGARDING FINDING WAYS TO TEACH ALL STUDENTS- THE ONLY ONE'S WHO BENEFITED WERE THOSE WHO LIKED TO HEAR THEMSELVES TALK.
