Professor Williams is great. He gave iClicker quizzes, but I got an A and I missed over 6 lectures. Just read the text and the Powerpoints that he puts online and you are good to go. Do the online homework assignments each week, and read the tetxtbook! And go to class and read a book or something while he's teaching. The Clicker quizzes r easy

great class, the professor makes it kind of hard because of how he words things, but you also learn a lot from this class. I probably learned the most amount of information from this class. He curves, and is really nice! Take him.

I took Astronomy & Cosmology. Ted Williams is a really nice guy, though a little vague and awkward to talk to outside of class. If you take notes, read your textbook, and learn to memorize important facts, you will do well. Even though a lot of the class left after the quiz, you get extra points for staying, and will learn the material more easily.

hardest intro class ever. could have been a 300 level with how hard it was. 3 i clicker quizzes at the beginning of class - every knew the class was a waste of time, so 75% of the class bailed right after them. Avoid this class like the plague

Nice guy, I found the class interesting because of the material, not too hard if you go to lecture then read over the notes before the next class, awesome extra credit, and I really loved the review session for tests, it's a big practice exam but with I-clickers, it really helps a lot. Lot's of cool demonstrations in class too.

Williams is a very nice and funny person. However, he makes the material too precise for an intro class. All his lectures are from the slides and his teaching is VERY boring. I like him a lot as a person but thought that his teaching and tests were not fair for people not majoring in Astro. Also requires attendance, no one would show up otherwise.

He gives a 3q clicker quiz every lecture.. which can either help you or hurt you. The lectures aren't that exciting. All the lecture slides are online, but it helps if you go to class and take extra notes on what he says. Gives extremely easy extra credit [replaces up to 4 clicker grades]. No hw. Not that bad.

Gives a quiz every class which counts towards your final grade. Good grade curve. Tries hard to be funny but usually falls flat. Uninteresting lectures. He used to give a quiz at the beginning of every lecture and everyone walked out straight afterwards so now has to spread quiz out through lecture. Ha

Nice guy. His lectures are not interesting. I only went for exams. I studied using his ppt notes and reading textbook. I also thought the hws were challenging. But there was a huge curve. I got an A. Would recomment with taking with piatek. Also good bcpm gpa booster of amcas application for premeds. good luck.

He's a really nice guy but his lectures aren't exactly invigorating. If you don't have a strong prior interest in the subject, don't take him. Homework isn't bad, only five questions a week. Verrrry generous curves on the exams.

Boring lectures- don't go. Read the chapters and study the practice tests he gives online. Not too hard to pass- curves your gradesw with a huge curve. Harder class to take if you're just looking for an easy one to fill a requirement.

Gr. tricky and hard exam questions. When you ask him a question, he beats around the bush and does not answer it. Only good thing was class lecture notes were online and crazy curves.
