I walked into this class just hoping to pass because I hated chem in high school, but this class was actually really fun. Dr. Brown is very passionate, smart and helpful. She won't hand you an A but she does everything in her power to help if you ask. You just have to put in the effort too. Show up, take good notes, and study. Not rocket science.

Teresa moves fast, but is prepared for class every day and is very good at explaining things. She is very clear about everything. The class is a lot of work. Go to lectures, pay attention, and take notes. I like that she doesn't try to trick you on tests-if she's taught you the material it will be on the test, and if she hasn't it won't.

I HAD a 4.0 and I work very hard. Teacher is completely unapproachable. Scolds students that ask ANY questions for not knowing the material. I got a B+ but pretty much taught myself. If you aren't fluent in chemistry and are interested in learning anything, don't take this professor. She is passionate about Chemistry, not teaching.

After taking chem 1101, this class was extremley challenging. Dr. Brown is very hard to follow along with in her lectures and puts excessive amounts of material on the tests. It is nearly impossible to finish your test on time. Be ready for A LOT of online quizzes. If you don't check the site you are guaranteed to miss a few quizzes.

Awesome Awesome Awesome. I am a non-traditional student attempting to complete a BA as it's on my bucket list. For the most part, she's great. She is concise and really encourages participation. The course was fun and overall a GREAT learning experience for me.

She expects that you have a general understanding of Chem before this course (as you should). The pace is rather fast and she attempts to cram a lot into a short period of time. Tests aren't the easiest, but if you understand the concepts they aren't too challenging.

Dr Brown is great. She just expects you to learn. She won't just hand you a grade. She loves the material she teaches, and cares about her students. Given time to get to know her, you'll like her a lot. Super helpful in office hours. High expectations for her students performance, and it's rewarding to work hard and earn your grade in her class.

She is a very difficult teacher. Repeatedly stated that since we all took intro to Chemistry this class should be a review for us, and no problem at all. She really did not teach the class just based on already expecting us to know everything from Intro to Chemistry. Do not take her as a teacher, there is better options.

Hard to follow her notes and book context, she jumps around a lot. Her tests are hard and a lot of unnecessary memorization is needed. Rushes through sections and has minimal free time to help with understanding.

Took her class over the summer. Studied about 6 hours a day after the 4 hours spent in class 4 days a week and got a C. That was my first and only C in collage. So don't take over the summer. She moves fast and treats you like an idiot if you don't understand right away.

In order to get a good grade you have to study and know the material. She is a good teacher but if you need more clarification on a certain subject it's best to go to her office hours (she rarely answers questions in class). If you want to learn, take her. Looking for an easy A? Do not this professor.

Mrs. Brown just doesn't know Organic chem very well. She can't answer specific mechanism questions and supplements a ton of math. Fine for Inorganic but I'm taking the GRE and was hoping for a better understanding. Youtube videos have been a great supplement though.

Do not take this instructor! A number of people in our class with 4.0 have dropped because she is just a terrbile instructor. She will not take time to answer questions and flies through the material. She doesn't allow enough time for the exams and most people are not able to finish! There are far better Chem teachers at RCTC. Take a different prof!

This professor is very professional and loves her profession (you can tell by observing). With that being said she is very busy and it's hard to get questions answered. If you want one-on-one time, wait in line fellas. Oh and she is sooo sexyy; AND MARRIED!

I think she is VERY difficult. Not very approachable. Very slow to get grades out. Tests are from the underworld. She is very heavy on the math portion of Chem. She should have been a math teacher. Her expectations don't match the kind of school she teaches at. She writes her own labs - so no book to buy, but they are VERY confusing!!

Dr. Brown knows her stuff! Her lectures are the probably - no; hands down the most informative and interesting lectures I have part-taken in. Chemistry's not an easy subject but the way Dr. Brown breaks everything down makes it seem simple. She is tough but fair! I highly recommend her to anybody and everybody. She gets a "hot" pepper from me, too.
