Crowe means well, but save yourself the trouble and just avoid taking this class. I had him on Tuesdays and Thursdays and it was hellish to sit through (no pun intended). His tests are incredibly long with LOTS of writing and he WILL NOT give very many (if any) A grades. He lectures on unrelated topics every class. He's all over campus too fyi.

Very interesting guy, means well but is not very clear but he is such an easy grader as long as you quote the bible on tests (which he lets you use) you can pass the class without trying with a B.

The most boring class I have ever taken in my life, please do not subject yourself to this! Sitting through an hour and fifteen minutes of his class was near impossible for me. I went to Catholic school from fourth grade until I graduated high school, and still had no idea what he was talking about and got a B. Not much work involved, though.

So boring it's crazy. He never uses any form of visual aid and just sits there and talks at you for what seems like forever. He often rambles too and goes off on completely unrelated tangents. The class if painful because no one opens their mouth or participates ever. Don't take this class.

You can look at Crowe in 2 different ways. 1) For tests he gives you study guides with all the questions (essayshort answer) and page numbers in the book. Also lets you use notes on the tests. 2) Extremely boring and sometimes mean to his students during lecture. Don't let him learn your name or he'll turn to you for everything.

Great, interesting guy. Very conversationalist--get involved in his lectures. If you take notes and read the assigned readings carefully and try to reflect, you should do fine on the exams. He gives a thorough study guide as well--do it! Introduce yourself to him and try to chat outside of class. Tough but thought-provoking.

Crowe is a total boss. The man loves his job and is kind and caring. He truly has a passion for Theology. What stinks is when you are sitting in his Intro to Theo class and you have no idea what he is talking about. All essay tests. Doesn't really give A's. Though he's a very likeable man, his class is 50 minutes of boring lecture. Work hard=B

Dr. Crowe's teaching style is very different than the traditional teacher. If you want to become a better writer take the class, his course work is based on written responses. For the most part, the majority of students have no clue what they are writing about, but it turns out alright because Crowe is an decent grader. Great guy, always around

he was a really nice guy and available outside of class. That being said I went to a catholic school for 13 years and received a B in the class, he has awful lectures and his in class notes will be of little to no use. If you are in his class don't bother reading he will give you a study guide just find the answers in that and take the tests.

He jumps back and forth a lot. Doesn't make it clear what he wants. All tests are free response paragraphs. He expects you to "elaborate concisely".

He was horrible. He rambles in class and uses no form of powerpoint or anything. Sometimes he will write random words on the board that usually will mean nothing to you. He grades really hard which is kind of ridiculous because you dont learn anything. You pretty much dont ever have to actually do his readings. Just look through to get answers.

I took his intro to theo class and he taught it with the difficulty of a grad class. Having no religious education background, I struggled. He's really unorganized and boring. Wonderful person, but his class was a nightmare. The tests were just hours of writing. and he grades hard.

TESTS: Gives a hearty study guide for each test. Will tell you what page to find the answers! You just have to skim the page and find the answer/grasp the text and you are set. LECTURES: Rambles! Alot! If he has an early class TAKE IT, he tries to go off notes on the board from previous class..no good! HELPFULL: Introduce yourself! He'll love you!

Dr. Crowe was a very kind man. His passion and knowledge of the subject was very evident. He tried his best to keep class interesting, but his classes were purely him lecturing, and that can get pretty boring. DEFINITELY do the readings and take notes on them and in class (you can use both on exams). Tough class, but not impossible. Work hard!

He is boring, unorganized, and confuses me. as long as you know how to take good notes during class then you will do fine. he gives out study guides and the tests/essays are practically the study guide. i did well in the class.

He's a nice guy but his tests are really hard. He gives three essay tests that take days to complete and then grades them tough. I would not recommend him. It is nearly impossible to get an A and his lectures are really boring

Terrible class..he'll give a study guide and then come test time, you'll find he has changed all of the questions around. Though the tests are two days, you have to rush to finish becuase his questions are so long and tedious. Lectures are boring and he's hard to follow.

Very interesting person. If you want to take a class that won't be boring and gives you a different outlook on Theology rather than being hit in the head with a Bible all the time, TAKE THIS CLASS. If you ever have questions he is always helpful.
