Man, im sure he's great in smaller seminar classes, but he left everythign to the T.A and was no help when i didnt agree with her. I found the class simply just talking about nothing, but when it came to the assignments it was a different story. WORST class i've ever taken.

Ron's great. I can understand why some might consider him a hard teacher, and I do think that his interests lie more with his graduate or 300 level students. But he's well worth taking course with. After three courses with him, I was looking for more.

hands out an enormous amount of reading for seemingly no purpose, if you dont do the reading and just go to the lectures you should find the course interesting and easy. dont bother buying all the books on his book lists

I can't believe this guy makes a living on putting students to sleep. I took 2 pm classes and was so well rested that I could have written my own 32-volume series on Religion. I couldn't believe he made me buy so much useless reading! Beard - yikes!
