Comment:

Terri teaches everything you need to know for the quizzes and tests, so if you come to class and take notes then you should expect to get at least a B. She doesn't collect homework but doing it and going over notes before quizzes will help you out a lot. I don't recommend raising your hand though- she picks on students who get answer incorrectly.

Her class was honestly easier than my high school Stats class. It is important to come to class to absorb the material and because she also usually quizzes once a week. As long as you do some optional homework and come to class, you should do well. She is a nice lady but sometimes picks on some students after they answer questions.

Terri is a horrible teacher. She is very smart and knows her material, but does not convey it successfully especially for those of us mathematically challenged. Dont ask question because she'll make fun of you in front of everyone. Take it for credit if you have to, but NOT WITH TERRI.

Dale is overall a pretty good teacher. She does go a little fast, but if you ask questions or meet with her in office hours is always willing to help. Expect a quiz every week, but only 3 tests. Homework and attendance are not mandatory, but she tends to put homework questions on the test. I'm not good at math, but ended up with an A.

This class was awful. The way she teaches makes everyone in the class feel uncomfortable, and she can react pretty harshly to students who are wrong. Lots of confusing assignments and pointless grades.

This is probably the worst class I've ever taken in college. She takes attendance, but it doesn't count towards your grade. Attendance is critical though because if you miss one day you'll be completely lost. If you ask her a question she thinks you're an idiot. If there's ANYWAY you could take another professor, DO IT.

She is super nice and wants you to do well in the class. Sometimes she is kind of unclear, but if you just ask her she will go over the material until everyone understands it. Takes attendance but it doesn't count towards your grade and homework is optional. I am horrible at math, but I got an A.

She is really confusing and spacey. took AP Stats with a very intense but good teacher in high school and did better than I am in basic stats at App. and Dale just sucks at explaining concepts and making things clear. Quizzes every week and she takes off points for silly things on tests.

She tends to talk in circles, often repeating the same information over and over again. If you have a question you have to be very clear about what you are confused about, she tends to not accept 'I just don't understand'. If you're good at math she is a fine professor but if you struggle with math you should consider selecting someone else.

She really isn't that bad! Yes, she is a bit scattered but she is very willing to go out of her way to help you! Just put forth the effort. Most homework is optional but will help you grasp the concepts. I am not that great at math but managed to do fine in this class.

She sucks. I tried asking questions and she shoots them down while making an effort to humiliate the questioner. If one person in the class understands a concept she assumes everyone does and moves way to fast.I don't have enough space to keep writing but if there is one thing i beg you take away from this, please don't choose her as a teacher pls

Prof. Dale is helpful and nice. Just do the work, ask her questions after class if confused, be polite. I didn't put amazing effort into class, but a did make some form of effort. Stay on top of things enough to not fall behind. Like any math class it builds on itself, come on people- You can do it!

One of the worst professors I have ever had at ASU. She was very confusing and very confrontational when I went to speak with her about my grade. She told me that I was doing the worst in the class and that it was my fault since I had missed so much class (I had 2 absences the entire semester). Find someone else to take this class with

While she does get a bit scattered when she's explaining things and going through problems, she really is a sweet woman. If you show her that you're trying she really will try to help you where she can. All I can say is do the work, even though it's not mandatory. Doing homework problems will really make all the difference.

She really is the sweetest lady. Sometimes she gets a little mixed up with what numbers she writes down, but she knows what she's doing and is VERY willing to help. People who complained most about her teaching never did their homework. It's not mandatory, but you really should do it.

Horrible teacher. She often spent 20-30 minutes explaining a concept, only to realize that she had been writing the entire concept wrong the whole time. Got good grades on the quizzes, learned her concepts, then would bomb the tests. Final was 14 pages, worst final ever.

Oy vey. Wish I had taken AP Stat in high school. The class started out easy but got difficult very quickly. She used the textbook to teach everything, examples from the book were reviewed in class. StatsPortal is the only thing that saved my grade.
